Mike, I suppose I've learned some things and interpreted them in a way I shouldn't have. Maybe then I'd be of different mind on the matter. Finally getting to near 0 here the last few nights. But yes, this is January...supposedly the coldest month of the year up here. Spring is my favorite season and it's almost just around the corner. The sauna suffices nicely for heat withdrawals in the middle of a cold winter, however . Lovin' it just like it is....keep the aerosols away from me . |

Good try, Peter, but global warming doesn't necessarily mean the end of winter. On the contrary it can cause more intense cold spells due to how the whole thing works: increased heating in the lower layers and cooling up above and sooner or later something gives. Well, there were critics on the Day of Pentecost and there are critics today. Nothing new under the sun..."Forbid not to speak with tongues..." I know that's not really true..... Who ya kiddin' now? Is the Bible just a mumble jumble of words which really don't mean what they say? Sure, tongues will cease, but when? Give me a date, please, dear cessasionists and I'll convert immediately....after you find that date in the Bible, that is. It's recorded historic Protestants and ancient Christian groups had the Holy Spirit in manifestation: Huguenots, Moravians, etc...clearly orthodox Protestants and pre-Protestant believers. Oh well, there will always be critics. |

DB, I was just thinking about this. Imagine the look on those mormon ladies' if I asked them if they were post-trib or pre-trib....I suppose this is the equivalent expression I'd see: Just a thought....One thing the lady who approached me was definitely convinced of is the validity of the Book of Mormon. I was going to give them some of my own literature upon my return, but they were gone....I went searching, but I suppose they were attempting to spread heresy behind closed doors of some house in the neighborhood. |
