Mark 10:5 And Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept.1 Corinthians 7:10 And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband: 11 But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife. 12 But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away. 13 And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him. I did not vote...since having gone through two divorces I have learned the reason for divorce is complex and not easy to catagorize. Sometimes a Christian man or lady get into a marriage where some time passes and their spouse changes and fights for a divorce against their will. They loose the fight and find they are single. They work for years at reconciliation...and then this falls through when their ex remarries. Now what are they to do? They did not commit adultery, desert their spouse, abuse them physically or mentally, or neglect them. In IFB Churches they are stigmatized and kept from even making friends with single.... |

My parents went to Southern Baptist Churches. The Church where I received Christ was Foothill Baptist in Angels Camp Ca...March 22, 1971. I was 12 1/2 years old. Conviction started at 6 years old during the communion. I would cry to think Jesus had to die. Awareness I was the sinner for whom Jesus dies for came when I was ten after I memorized Romans 5:8 during VBS. For spring quarter our Sunday School chart was a crown of thorns. Each Sunday we attended we glued a square of another picture. Two weeks before Easter my chart became a jeweled crown. Pastor Lambert preached on the crown of thorns and the crown of jewels. At the invistation I went forward an made public my faith in Jesus. For the "rest of the story" http://calledsaintsinchrist.blogspot.com/2006/08/my-testimony-updated.html |

There is not "all of the above" so I choose "Other." But I would also add:***************************** Not going out soulwinning. ***************************** Bible reading and study is input. Prayer is communication. Church membership and attendence is community. Soulwinning is outreach to add to the Church, to help us pray for the lost, and to study the Bible and memorize scripture so we have a ready answer about the hope we have. If the faith I have is not reproducing....then what am I producing for God? |

R & S: Which translation "s"Jeremiah: KJV, RSV, ASV, NASV, Amplified, NIV, Youngs Literal, Green's Literal, Net Bible, Modern KJV, that I would recommend. R & S: you still haven,t delt with the text that could be corrupt that all other versern use and are missleding. They dont agree with each other in 3000 place alone in the Gosples. do you think this is alrming.I hope you see this, that it is alrming. Jeremiah: In my KJVO days...yes. But not now. I cannot explain it all here. Just start at www.kjvonly.org and go from there. R & S: No worries about thinking i was part of the only group but insist that the KGV is the best. there is a world of diferance. Jeremiah: I still prefer and use the KJV...but not alone....and not without a little knowledge of Greek too. The KJV was slanted to favor baptismal regenerationist of the Church of England...and it is the one doctrine hard to fight with any translation with this slant. R & S: No worries about my mistake. I dont read people all that well over the internet, prefer to talk in person. Jeremiah: Agreed....this is a limited medium to communicate with. |

The "immersion" in the Holy Spirit was fulfilled at Pentecost as Jesus said would happpen. Acts 1:5 For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit." Acts 2:4 All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit... Acts 2:17 & 18 I will pour out my Spirit on all people.. Acts 2:32 He has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear. Acts 2:38 ...receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. From here on out...the term "baptized with the Holy Spirit" falls away and "receive the Holy Spirit" come into usage. Paul said that now the Holy Spirit is the agent of baptism to identifiy all beievers with the body of Christ...the Church. 1 Corinthians 12:13 For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body - whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free - and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. This is the "baptism" referred to in Ephesians 4:5 for the purpose "to keep the unity of the Spirit" Ephesians 4:3. Once we "receive the Spirit" we are 'sealed,' and 'annointed.' We need to make sure we keep on being filled with the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 5:18, Acts 4:31 |
