I voted "Other" because the biggest hurdle is the old sinful nature, the carnal mind. We have two natures at war within us:

"For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members." (Romans 7:22,23)

Of the things on the list in the poll, I have to agree with the majority about not reading the Bible. "...the words that I speak unto you, [they] are spirit, and [they] are life." (John 6:63) "Give us day by day our daily bread." (Luke 11:3) We should be feeding on the Word every day. I cannot explain how it works, but I know from personal experience it does work.

The daily reading God's Word and prayer are equally important. Through His word He speaks to us. Through prayer we speak to him. Without this in our lives, Church attendance only makes us "Sunday Christians"

"Not attending church regularly" is the correct answer. Public worship is the single most important aspect of the christian life.

Talking to God daily and "hearing" His Word are equally important. I feel that you cant separate the one from the other, by suggesting one is of more importance.

I agree that all these things are detrimental, but I think it is a matter of finding the root cause for the other things to fall away.

Attending church is irrelevant as a persecuting government can imprision you and yet you may still have a Christian Walk and Life.

Not reading the bible as important it is (this is the no 1 thing I do the most in my Christian Walk) is also irrelevant for men can take this from you and yet you can still have a Christian Walk.

Sin certainly can become a blockage and causes problems with your Christian walk but this is a result of a deeper problem.

The problem is the apex of all these things and that is prayer. (Something I know is my downfall. I don't pray hardly at all and I know it is my downfall in all other aspects.)
When I don't pray, I am suseptable to temptation, I do not see through the word of God correctly, attend church mechanically.

Ones entire relationship through Christ and our Father is dependant on prayer. It is the first thing whereby all other things detrimental to ones Christian walk stems.
It is the way the Spirit of God can reach us, soften us, turn our focus away from our self.

Yet a man of prayer without the Word is a right handed man walking on one right leg. Its his best leg but he can only hop.

Sure the first three are inseparable, However it is when sin enters the picture that a believer has the most likely opportunity to leave the christian life/walk.

Romans 6, the beleiver is dead to "living any longer" sin. Dead means dead. Sin means sin. Living any longer means known for that sin. A believer cannot be known to be living, acting, thinking, (the state of present continuous) a particular sin.

Not perfectionism, (see 1 John) as otherwise you would be deceived and/or a deceiver. But not known to be in sin. So sin is the key.

There is not "all of the above" so I choose "Other." But I would also add:

*****************************
Not going out soulwinning.
*****************************

Bible reading and study is input.

Prayer is communication.

Church membership and attendence is community.

Soulwinning is outreach to add to the Church, to help us pray for the lost, and to study the Bible and memorize scripture so we have a ready answer about the hope we have.

If the faith I have is not reproducing....then what am I producing for God?

John 8:31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

1 Thess. 5:16 Rejoice evermore.
17 Pray without ceasing.
18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
19 Quench not the Spirit.
20 Despise not prophesyings.
21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.
23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I put 'Other' because they're all potentially detrimental to our walk.

Who thinks this stuff up for heaven's sake? There ought to be an electrical shock in the enter button for people who make ridiculous surveys here.

All of the answers could apply--but I answered "other". When you don't attend church regularly, read your Bible, and pray without ceasing, you will most certainly become "stagnant" in your Christian walk.

Phm 1:2 And to our beloved Apphia, and Archippus our fellowsoldier, and to the church in thy house:

Appears to be a church in a home in the above verse's...

We need a "all of the above" category for this questions.

Before Christmas we attended a very well attended Uniting Church with relatives in Melbourne. However one of the elders asked me why I had my bible with me. I said our minister preaches from it and we like to follow. He was amazed and also said that there were no bible study groups operating from their church as people were not interested. They just preach a social gospel - it's little better than a service club.
