The idea of forcing your wife to submit whenever you desire sickens me. Makes me physically ill.

If you love your wife, as Christ loves us, is that how you'd treat her?

IMO it would not address any pornography problems either, which is an issue of perversion that no one partner, could satisfy.

How would you like it, big guy, if someone suggested you submit whenever someone else desired?

Would you think that person loved you?

I love my wife. You couldn’t make me treat her that way. You could quote scripture till you’re blue in the face and never make me believe that that’s how Christ would want me to view this precious gift he’s given me.

Rev Ezekial

Thanks for taking the time and effort.

I appreciate it and I learned something.

God Bless My Friend

Rev. Ezekial Jeremiah

I think, in my experience on a variety of boards, when people don't comment on a post it signals agreement.

But let me ask you, since I have a little trouble with those verses.

Don't godless men always meet that criterion? Most of us have read some history. When have men of godless living not acted in that way?

To me that would mean things would need to get much worse than they are if it is to be taken as a sign.

Isn't it possible that Timothy meant that as a comfort in a way since all Christians would be dealing with adulterers, lovers of money more than humanity, and murderous thugs.

When have people like this not been prevalent? This is a question, not a statement.
