I am no fan of VBS. VBS promotes the practice of lazy pagan parents sending their kids off to get religion from a babysitter while they themselves can stay home and do whatever they want, not having to go to church themselves. Oh, we're not religious, but we want our kids to grow up to be 'good people', so we need to send them somewhere, especially during the summer when school's out and they're bugging us to death. And as for Christians, parents are responsible for their children's education - not the church! The church is a ministry of grace, not the education of children. VBS also promotes family segregation - a totally unbiblical practice. |
