Romney's little pluralistic speech doesn't work at all. Mormonism is not Christian. We are told in Deuteronomy when electing a leader, we are not to choose a foreigner, but one from among our own people. Faithwise, he doesn't qualify. He serves idols.
What about people who decide they were meant to be dogs, barnyard and zoo animals? Already there are people who've had surgery to make their faces look like panthers and other ridiculous things. Are we supposed to protect people who wish to have their hands and feet surgically fixed to look like paws and hooves? Are we supposed to tolerate people who want skin grafts to make tails?
Oh, goodie! I've already been to Niagara Falls! I hope Jesus will count it as a once in a lifetime Christian Haj trip. Just call me CMTHaji - meaning, CMT has been to [Christian] Mecca.
I hate to say it, but I can't help but wonder if the Lord is going to use the religion of Islam to chastise us regarding the problem of immodesty, particularly in our nation's women and girls. If we will not be governed by the Word of God and its gentle yoke, we will be governed by our enemies and a harsh yoke. Lord, have mercy upon us.
There is only one Abrahamic religion - Christianity. Abraham was saved by grace alone through faith, the same as anyone else. He was not saved by works, which is what other religions besides Christianity teach.
What I can't stand even more than Christian parents justifying sending their kids to public schools are elders in churches who allow public schooling parents to be members (and even church officers!) and elders who refuse to discipline church members who send their children to public schools. Christians need to attend and support homeschooling churches. Even a lot of kids in Christian day schools act like public school kids because they're around their peers all day long.
I understand what you're saying about WND, Jay. I don't like a lot of stuff on it either, but I'll take it over World Magazine any day. At least WND promotes constitutionalism and biblical responsibility in government. And at least WND fights pluralism and globalism. World Magazine unabashedly promotes our nation's globalist agenda and endorses religious pluralism. It's not too much better than Christianity Today. Bird cage time for both IMHO.
And maybe during an interview with Playboy, McCain will also promise America to not let his Christianity interfere with his presidency! But not before he shocks America that he's lusted in his heart.
I qualified that God's wrath is on those who won't repent. You're talking about repentant people, like yourself and everyone else who trusts in Christ. God loves his children and his wrath is on the wicked. The bible teaches both.
The problem is, people don't use this love the sinner hate the sin phrase for just Christians. They use it for humanity. That's the problem. God does not hate his children.
