Idea: ““Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.” (Matthew 25:13, NKJV)
Intro: Matthew 25 contains three parables that illustrate the teaching Jesus gave in ch. 24. There Jesus taught on His impending judgment and His Second Coming. Each of the three parables urge Christians to be watchful and ready for Christ's Second Coming.
1. When Jesus comes again, the church will be a mixed character, having good and evil.
2. Christ's Second Coming will take all by surprise.
3. Many will see the value of Christian faith too late.
Conc. I urge you to hear the warning that the Lord will come again in judgment, that He calls you to be ready by repenting of your sins and placing your trust in Him. I urge you to hear God's call and to prepare your hearts to meet your Lord. |
