So God's Church left the truth, then, that it needed to be brought back. Can this be?
Yes exactly right.

During the first 1500 years the church split into Augustinian and (semi)Pelagian.
Today it is called Calvinism and Arminian(free will/save yourself).

Over the years these two seeds developed until the free will crowd, like many churches today, had to be surgically removed, and it was called Reformation.

Remember Mike as I have told you before there is only two ways - God's way versus man's way, - Sovereign Will or free will.

Looks like the Kirk has chickened out for the time being.

"The Church of Scotland has avoided a potentially damaging debate about whether gay people should be allowed to become Kirk ministers.
At its General Assembly in Edinburgh, it was decided instead a special commission should be set up to consider the matter and report in two years.
There will be a consultation among congregations across Scotland"

Battles not over yet.

"THE divide in the Church of Scotland deepened last night, after traditionalists said the vote allowing the appointment of openly gay minister Scott Rennie had brought "great shame" on the Kirk.
However, conservative opponents of Mr Rennie refused to concede defeat and said there was still a chance to prevent him being appointed"

The catholic or universal Church, which is invisible, consists of the whole number of the elect, that have been, are, or shall be gathered into one, under Christ the head thereof; and is the spouse, the body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

Eph 1:10, 22-23; Eph 5:23, 27, 32; Col 1:18.

The visible Church, which is also catholic or universal under the gospel (not confined to one nation as before under the law) consists of all those, throughout the world, that profess the true religion, and of their children; and is the kingdom of the Lord Jesus Christ, the house and family of God, out of which there is no ordinary possibility of salvation.

Psa 2:8; Rom 15:9-12; 1 Cor 1:2; 12:12-13; Rev 7:9. Gen 3:15; 17:7; Ezek 16:20-21; Acts 2:39; Rom 11:16; 1 Cor 7:14. Isa 9:7; Mat 13:47. Eph 2:19; 3:15. Acts 2:47.
