If we believe the scriptures, all the scriptures, this is the wsy it has to be! Like all the scriptures, it assures that God gets all the glory in the salvation of His elect people.

“ Great Sermon! ”
Very refreshing sermon!!! Validated all that I have believed in and have understood from the Word of God. OT law is never mixed with NT works but haven't the evangelicals made for themselves "works" to justify themselves. The principles which govern the "Law" are also applicable for "works".

A very refreshing message in times like these when there is so much apostasy and complacency among believers. May the Lord help us to see the world and our ministry thru His eyes .

“ Powerful sermon! ”
Praise God for raising up Jeremiahs in our times. A wake up call for us to pray for our country."The stork in heaven knoweth her times...but my people know not the judgement of the God".Jer 8:7

“ Powerful sermon ”
A sermon every christian MUST listen. All I can say is "O wretched person that I am".May the prayer of Jeremiah (Jer 14: 19 - 22)be our prayer for 2011.

Jesus taught: "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect" (Matthew 5:48).

I wonder sometimes if we evangelicals don't behave as if the words of Jesus were somehow obsolete and that the words of Paul supercede those of Jesus Himself.

However, Paul himself taught that Jesus gave himself for the church that he might redeem and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works (Titus 2:14)

Those who have faith and love by the action of supernatural grace will delight to do God's will.

Instability

“ Change vs Stability ”
A certain US candidate has been promoting Change as a central theme of his campaign. Needed reforms and new directions can be good but too much change leads to instability. May all of our leaders be firm and consistent in following well-grounded principles. May Christian profession be matched with a display of godly, Christian practice.

I can forgive my neighbor who has hurt me in the past. But, if they are unrepentant, they are likely to hurt me again.

If we've shamed and dishonored God with our disobedience and unbelief, we may find comfort in the Scriptural promises of forgiveness offered. But, if our hearts are unrepentant and unsanctified, we will shame and dishonor God again.

Classic Spurgeon and much needed for today's lax church in America. Thanks for your continued broadcasts of these sermons.
