And where do you find children 'dedicated' to Jesus in the Bible please?
Why John;
It is recorded at the inauguration of the Covenant.

And what effect, pray, does a covenantal "benefit" have upon a child?
Acts 3:25 Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the COVENANT which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed. 26 Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.

Eph 2:12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the COVENANTS of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: 13 BUT NOW in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

Heb 8:10 For this is the COVENANT that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:

Heb 13:20 Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting COVENANT, 21 Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. And how does that 'benefit' benefit the baby?
If the baby is one of the elect then he/she is saved - if the baby is not elect then he/she will not be saved!
The only "benefit" available to the child is Covenantal.

This is the same "benefit" available to you guys who discriminate against babies because of their age and inability to verbally declare that which can only be perceived in the heart.

Now John, Do you know who can read the heart?

Not all Israel - is Israel!

John 1:45. (AV) Philip get it wrong?
YES! Philip got it wrong

""We have found Jesus." How small was the measure of Philip's faith appears from this circumstance, that he cannot utter a few words about Christ without mingling with them TWO GROSS ERRORS. He calls him the son of Joseph, and says, that Nazareth was his native town, both of which statements were false; and yet, because he is sincerely desirous to do good to his brother, and to make Christ known, God approves of this instance of his diligence, and even crowns it with good success. Each of us ought, no doubt, to endeavor to keep soberly within his own limits; and, certainly, the Evangelist does not mention it as worthy of commendation in Philip, that he twice disgraces Christ, but relates that his doctrine, though faulty and involved in error, was useful, because it nevertheless had this for its object, that Christ might be truly known. He foolishly says that he was the son of Joseph, and ignorantly calls him a native of Nazareth, but yet he leads Nathanael to no other than the Son of God who was born in Bethlehem, (Matthew 2:1,) and does not contrive a false Christ, but only wishes that they should know him as he was exhibited by Moses and the Prophets." (Calvin)

Riverside Church has.........and often pacifist agenda. But internal fights...."

Putting these two phrases together is an oxymoron isn't it?

It is a bit like putting "Liberal" and "Christian" together, that is an oxymoron too.
