It was included in a separate section as a historical section, much like the Bible helps today that use the KJV 1611.

There is a place for formal debate and there is a place for sarcasm and snide remarks. SA is that place (lol).

I can do both. Unfortunately, there is not one on the other side, whom I have met that can follow the rules of debate as prescribed by DB.

One can either get offended or be amused. I choose to be amused. And the likes of some here make it too easy.

Yes, of course, GOd does not mean what he states and he does not state what he means.

So thanks to the Calvinist, we have a fabricated meaning that exists only in the F_anciful L_and of the Calvinist.

This is what is called filtering God's word through one's presuposition.

Their motto:
Sola Calvinism!

So much for "God so loved the world..."

It goes to show you, that they do not care about what God states; they care more about what Calvin states.

I am sorry to say but it was not I that wrote:

"For God so loved the WORLD, that he gave his only begotten Son, that WHOSOEVER believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life."

Such a marvellous declartive statement!

Yet, the Calvinist would have you to believe that God only loves an elite few.

I guess they love what the Bible has to say so long as it agrees with Calvin.

Like I said, when one tries to look for the practical applications to their doctrine, he will find hypocrisy every time.

Why won't you try allowing God to state what he means and mean what he states.

It works everytime for me.

Sorry La,

It is quite apparent that SA does not look at the nature of the complaint before complying with the abuse request.

Like I said the quote does not state that Baptists originated in 1521.

If you care to know the way the Baptist view their history you can read the excellently documented ]]Trail of Blood.

If you do not like that then you can at least pay closer attention to a ]]Reformed Baptist .

Below is a quote by Spurgeon:

We believe that the Baptists are the original Christians. We did not commence our existence at the reformation, we were reformers before Luther and Calvin were born; we never came from the Church of Rome, for we were never in it, but we have an unbroken line up to the apostles themselves. We have always existed from the days of Christ, and our principles, sometimes veiled and forgotten, like a river which may travel under ground for a little season, have always had honest and holy adherents. Persecuted alike by Romanists and Protestants of almost every sect, yet there has never existed a Government holding Baptist principles which persecuted others; nor, I believe, any body of Baptists ever held it to be right to put the consciences of others under the control of man. We have ever been ready to suffer, as our martyrologies will prove..."

Your comprehension skills are seriously lacking. I am starting to wonder if Calvinism is really a mental illness.

Then, shutup and stop trying.

It's not like you can change what God has predetermined.

To the Calvinist the doctrines of grace is merely a theological exercise that makes them feel good. When one tries to look for the practical applications to their doctrine, he will find hypocrisy every time.

That's your history not our history.

Not only do you Calvs not only try to tell us what we believe, but also you want to tell us about our own history.

How pathetic can you go.

Hey, I tell you what. Don't try to rewrite our history and we will not rewrite yours.

In addition you quote does not state that the Baptists originated in 1521. So you just wasted the 2 seconds you used to cut and paste.

Also, anabaptists means rebaptizers. That's the heresy that you speak of. It's not rocket science. Really, trust me.
Nevertheless, it does nothing to prove your point or disprove mine. Any encyclopedia in the world will tell you that the Reformers came from the Roman Catholic church, that they persecuted the Baptists, and that Calvin joined hands with the pope to kill Servetus.

Considering that the Reformers were Catholics, not us, that us Baptists were persecuted by both, and that John Calvin called on the Pope to do his dirty work with Servetus, then I will have to say no.

You gave a question, and I answered it in three parts.

Instead of a rebuttal, I get hot air.

What's wrong with this picture?

As I said, the Calvinist has none of the answers but all of the questions. Good thing the Weapon of Mass Instruction is around to make up for their lack.
