I pray I could sit with a number of pastors on the steps of their churches and play this 7 minute message for them to hear. I pray it would cut to their heart. Often I wonder if most pastors, preachers, and leaders are beyond reach due to their love of this world and pleasing people rather than pleasing God. Thank you for this, Brother Johnston.

“ Heart-breaking Message! ”
Anyone who hears this should experience deep sorrow for how far the church has fallen. The church has become just like the world, wanting to compete with the world and have fellowship with the world. It is the church that needs revival first and foremost, and after that the nation. But we can't expect the nation to repent when the church won't, when the church is more satisfied with entertainment, popularity, and a party lifestyle -- than it is separating unto Christ from this world. So sad to see a church I used to attend have a football tailgate party. So sad to see rock musicians parading their talent in a proud way and calling it worship. So sad to see programs and games, laughing and lightheartedness, while the world goes to Hell and the church with it. No brokenness, no consecrateness, no real prayer, no anguish, no repentance. And no love for the Holy Scriptures over the thoughts and plans of men. My prayer for 2017 is that there would be an awakening and repentance in the church, a very real one, not the worldly so-called reivivals that are nothing more than a placebo to our consciences. May we become broken and desperate for God once again.

“ 2 Minutes of Sober Truth! ”
When I hear a message like this, it chills and convicts me deeply. Brother Johnston has a deep burden for righteousness, revival, and Biblical truth. When he said "Why are you laughing in the pulpit, when nobody is laughing here?" (Hell), it should cause all to be broken in spirit. This brother sees it, one of so few today that do! Is anybody listening? Would that multitudes of pastors would preach like this, it would probably empty the churches, with the remaining few being those who still were able to feel conviction and really wanted to follow Jesus.

I totally agree with you Tony! I am so strengthened and encouraged by all the messages by Pastor E A Johnston. This kind of preaching is not heard in the vast majority of churches, and pastors do need to repent of their lukewarmness. Pastor Johnston has a deep burden for repentance and revival, and that so resonates with my heart. Unfortunately, in America church has become a Sunday morning social club without any true heartfelt brokenness for God. More Biblical truth is preached from Pastor Johnston in 5 or 10 minutes than what you get in many churches in a whole year! Extremely sad but true. God bless you Pastor Johnson for being a true light for the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!

“ Life-saving Truth for Our Time! ”
This message by Pastor Reed was excellent! It would be extremely hard to find a church or pastor that would preach this truth like this. It would be considered too offensive, but folks, we NEED to be offended AND convicted ... so that we can REPENT! Our lives are so permeated by Rock and Roll, and most churches embrace it in one form or another. But if the churches wont take a stand against sin, who will? Rock and roll music has been a stumbling block for me throughout my life, as a former drummer and guitarist in bands, but also listening to it since those days long ago. There is a spirit to rock music that attacks one's Christian walk and testimony. It would be great if everyone that hears this message would give a CD copy to all the pastors they know. Thank you Pastor Reed for preaching what thousands of others should preach as well. That isn't false flattery, but simply the truth. In Jesus' name, Amen!

... in just two and a half short minutes, Brother Johnston delivers a powerful message on the realities of rejecting Jesus Christ, and not being ready for Heaven. Sadly, very few will learn from this example of a man dying in his sons without a Saviour. Bless you, my brother, for being direct and forthright, and giving out the Truth without compromise!

I am truly edified, encouraged, challenged, and admonished through all the messages that Pastor Johnston preaches. In my times of loneliness and trying to live for God when everything seems against me, I take heart from listening to Pastor Johnston's Biblical instruction and Holy Ghost preaching. The Church of our day needs so much more of this time of sin-convicting preaching. Thank you Pastor Johnston!

This is an "either-or" question. There is no gray area between the two states of "sanctification" and "damned." Either the blood of Jesus is sufficient or it is not.

I also believe that free will and predestination are NOT mutually exclusive. Make of that what you will.

This question misses the point entirely. The sole and complete purpose of Christ's church on earth is to continue the work Jesus started. We have all heard it said that the church is not a building but people. This has never changed.

My job as a Christian is not just to provide education in the truth of the Bible, or to provide a place and atmosphere for worship, or to provide for the social or physical needs of the community. It is all of this and much more besides.

But none of these are the most important. No, the most important purpose of the Church is to proclaim and preach the Risen Christ, to witness to the Gospell, to be living examples of God's love on the earth.

All that other stuff springs forth naturally from us when we do this. They are a consequence, evidence if you will, that we are following in Jesus' footsteps; not a "purpose" at all, but a sign.

Virginia governor endorses ban on 'Jesus' prayer

Obviously the Governor does not realize as Christians, when we pray we come to the only true God through Jesus Christ His Son.

To ask one to pray without mentioning Jesus, our intercessor, is without logic. We must pray for the Governor that he may understand why Christians pray using the name of Jesus. For we ask it in Jesus name AMEN

It seems quite simple to me. The believer is sanctified not by his own act but by the will and grace of God. God doesn't do things by half measures. Therefore whatever God sanctifies is completely and unreservedly sanctified.

By faith alone are we saved.
