I really think hiding it is a non-sequitor, because "In God We Trust" isn't refering to the God of the Bible anyway, but the unitarian God of the unconstitutional government established by Lincoln. And FDR's religion was unitarian too, and he's the one who got rid of our gold standard. It's hypocritical for our coins to say "In God We Trust" when the silver has been taken out of them. IMHO, it's no different than "One nation under God" in the pledge. It's not talking about the Christian God either, because the writer of the US Pledge of Allegiance, Francis Bellamy's god was the state. So it really doesn't matter whether God's name is mentioned on our coins or in the pledge.

I agree, Mark. IKEA's for communist, beatnik, unisex, globalist hippies.

I hope someday that one of this site's preachers preaches a sermon called, "Should Christians Shop at IKEA?" with the answer being a resounding 'NO ' with numerous scriptural proofs so that Lady Anna will be convinced.

I was flipping through the channels and saw Ol' Joycester on one of those weird TBN channels. It seems as though she's always saying something about the devil not wanting her to speak out about things, and her saying 'but I'm gonna say it, Amen!?!" Goodness. That woman has to take steroids. Her voice is so foul, deep and masculine - a lot like Rosie O'Donnell's.

God deliver us from Bloody Marys everywhere.

There is nothing like singing God's Word back to him. Our voices with God's is a unity more delightful than anything imaginable.

I can't stand IKEA. Their stuff is ugly and their decor is minimalist and post-modern. Christians who shop there are supporting this ungodly philosophy mentioned in this article, not to mention Sweden itself, a very ungodly nation.

And their commercials?
Don't even get me started. What a freakshow.

Another good sermon here on this subject is The Bible, Women and Prophecy by Pastor John Weaver.

MBL: Thank you for that good sermon. Interesting point about Job's wife and prosperity theology, and women being attracted to Joel Osteen and other seeker/emergent type emotional theology. I also didn't know about Beth Moore, although I've heard the name.

Even women who start out wanting to preach the gospel end up preaching modernism and socialism. Already in rebellion for disobeying the bible in the first place, socialism follows soon after. Women are maternal and naturally want everyone to be cared for, because they themselves want security. That's where the prosperity theology fits in, because women are prone to material discontentment. The reason a lot of men go into debt is because their wives keep demanding a nicer lifestyle and nicer things like Betty or Susie have. Men do that too, but the media works overtime convincing women and girls that they aren't complete if they don't have this or that wardrobe or this or that appliance, house, car, etc.

It's you who doesn't know the gospel, Yamil. You're a universalist who believes that Christ saves everyone and that Christ's death accomplished nothing - except to make you able to save yourself. That's heresy. You're a proud man who refuses to see the scriptures as portraying God as who he is. You'll have to stand before God in the filthy robes of your own righteousness instead of those of Christ.

You have no reason to believe that Hitler is in hell if Jesus died for him. So get back in the box and quit sidestepping the issue.

Jesus died for Stalin, Hitler, Pol Pot, Jezebel and Judas, so I guess we'll party with 'em in heaven!

Regarding Stephen's comment:

None of them are binding? How convenient for people who love to worship false gods, worship the One True and Living God anyway they please, blaspheme God's name, do whatever they please on Sunday, dishonor authority, murder, have unlawful sex, steal, say whatever they please about people and covet other people's property, huh?

Rick Warren, like most preachers today, has fallen for the politics of guilt and pity. If you make people feel guilty you can control them. When Rick Warren starts preaching the full counsel of God and starts caring more about discipling a flock with that Word instead of figuring out ways to make the Bible more attractive to pagans, then he can start preaching to Christians about how to deal with AIDS. Until then, he and his wife need to keep quiet.

I'll bet the ol' Lama is just fine with infanticide and euthanasia, though.
