“ Antichrist And Removing His Monuments To Idolatry! ”
The crowning sermon of this fine series on little heard Bible truth related to removing Antichrist's holy days, removing the monuments to idolatry of the Papal Antichrist, the duty of the civil magistrate [rulers] in these matters, errors of Dispensationalism, the egalitarian American amendments to the Westminster Confession of Faith, etc. More FREE ONLINE MP3s and TEXT RESOURCES from the best Puritan, Covenanter, Presbyterian, Reformed and Baptist authors and preachers, on the Biblical view of holy days, are at http://www.sermonaudio.com/go/413 and at http://www.swrb.com/newslett/FREEBOOK/holyday.htm.

“ Romish Or Protestant/Biblical Worship & Holy Days ”
Much needed preaching in our day, when many Protestants worship more like Roman Catholics than like the best Reformers. This sermon contains much important Scriptural and historical information. On this topic George Gillespie writes, "Forasmuch then, as kneeling before the consecrated bread, the sign of the cross, surplice, festival days (Christmas, Easter, etc.-ed.), bishopping, bowing to the altar, administration of the sacraments in private places, etc., are the wares of Rome, the baggage of Babylon, the trinkets of the whore, the badges of Popery, the ensigns of Christ's enemies and the very trophies of Antichrist: we cannot conform, communicate, and symbolize with." More quotes and free resources on this topic are at http://www.swrb.com/newslett/freebook/holyday.htm

“ How Satan Corrupts The Worship of God ”
This whole MP3 series contains very important messages about how Satan is corrupting the worship of God in our day, using men (like James Jordan, John Frame, Doug Wilson, Steve Schlissel, Jeffrey Meyers, Vern Poythress, et al.) who claim some connections to the Reformed faith, but who, in reality, teach principles of worship much closer to Rome and the Papacy than to the Reformation and the best Reformers. To find out why John Calvin would have excommunicated both John Frame and James Jordan, given the idolatrous nature of their beliefs and public teaching regarding worship, please see http://www.swrb.com/newslett/actualNLs/frameexc.htm. The free article, "A Warning Against the False and Dangerous Views of James Jordan Concerning Worship," is at http://www.swrb.com/newslett/actualNLs/blastjj.htm and will also expose more about the heresy and idolatry noted throughout Brian Schwertley's "must hear" MP3 series entitled "Liturgical Antinomianism."

“ A History Of Apostasy And The Growth Of Antichrist ”
An important historical message revealing fulfillments of prophecy. The spread of Christianity in the Roman Empire, Diocletian, persecutions, early Christian martyrs, Constantine, Islam, Romanism/Ritualism, Paganism, the Papacy (Antichrist), etc., are all touched on here. For more details see Jonathan Edwards' classic work, The History Of Redemption, free on MP3 at http://www.sermonaudio.com/sermoninfo.asp?SID=102907162737 (16 MP3s).

“ James Jordan's False Worship, On The Road To Rome ”
This MP3 series by Brian Schwertley is a much needed study refuting the nonsense, idolatry and heresy of James Jordan. More refuting James Jordan the can be found at http://www.swrb.com/newslett/freebook/refworsh.htm (search for "Jordan"). The following quote, from Kevin Reed's, The Canterbury Tales (at the URL above), is apropos, "In a Lutheran/Anglican posture, Mr. Jordan is asserting that the church has been granted broad discretionary power to establish means of worship. This is similar to the Anabaptist notions, which allow the 'moving of the Spirit' to govern the present activities of the church, without any direct appeal to the law of God. In both cases, the church has the power to worship God according to the devices of men. However, the Anabaptist opts for subjectivism (due to an emphasis on individualism); the other opts for traditionalism (with an emphasis on the corporate consensus). Yet, the law of God rejects both a subjective appeal (Deut. 12:8), and an appeal to the consensus (Deut. 12:30-31). Rather, the biblical admonition directs men to the scriptural pattern of worship (Deut. 12:32)."

The Covenants and the Covenanters

“ Important Covenanted Reformation History On MP3 ”
Thank you for this faithful recounting of important (Covenanted) Reformation history. MP3 readings of sermons by some of the Covenanters mentioned in this message are at http://www.sermonaudio.com/go/353 (Cameron), http://www.sermonaudio.com/go/354 (Cargill), http://www.sermonaudio.com/go/355 (Rutherford) and http://www.sermonaudio.com/go/352 (Renwick). Greg Price's MP3s also deal with these same teachings and times at http://www.sermonaudio.com/go/356 . Also, here is an interesting quote related to the period covered in this MP3: "The Covenants are an important attainment, no lasting and binding agreement is attained without establishing them first" (Session 23, 1648, A Declaration and Exhortation of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland to their Brethren of England, from _The Acts of the General Assemblies of the Church of Scotland, From the Year 1638 to the Year 1649 Inclusive_, available under "CHURCH OF SCOTLAND GENERAL ASSEMBLY 1638-1649" at http://www.swrb.com/catalog/c.htm ).

“ Puritan & Reformed Quotes On Instrumental Music ”
Dear Tom: First, thank you for the many fine readings you have produced. I've often benefited from them myself (as you know) and I am sure many others have too. Regarding your comment, the quotes on this MP3 are only introductory and simply address certain aspects of the issue. They certainly do not form a complete argument per se. Even taken in their entirety, these quotes only skim the surface of this issue, forming just a small portion of the total argument. John Girardeau's book, Instrumental Music in the Public Worship of the Church, which is primarily about one aspect of keeping the second commandment (and secondarily about the history of Covenanter, Puritan, & Reformation worship on this point) gives a much more extensive argument and is free in MP3 format beginning at http://www.sermonaudio.com/sermoninfo.asp?SID=62905172020 or free in text format at http://www.covenanter.org/Girardeau/Instrumental/instrumentalmusic.htm . Also, as I am sure you know, even Baptists like Charles Spurgeon and Andrew Fuller preached against the use of musical instruments in public worship. Additional information on the classic Puritan and Reformation position on this topic can also be found in a number of the free MP3s at http://www.sermonaudio.com/go/328 . In Christ, Reg B

"Islam is the predominant religion in six of the top 10 countries: Saudi Arabia, Iran, Maldives, Afghanistan, Yemen and Uzbekistan."
Well that sure isn't a surprise to Christians everywhere. Although it will be a shock to the Archbishop of Canterbury.
Islamic and communist run countries are definately anti-Christian.

“ The Rage Of Antichrist Revealed! ”
A powerful message, with much forgotten history. "And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment: They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented; (Of whom the world was not worthy) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth" (Hebrews 11:37-38).

“ 'Protestants' On The Road To Rome! ”
This sermon (the first in this important series) exposes how some modern Protestants are leading people astray from biblical (Reformation) teaching on worship and holy days -- and right into the arms of Papal Antichrist! Schwertley mentions and/or convincingly refutes errors by Jordan, Horne, Meyers, Strawbridge, Schlissel, Gore, Frame, Leithart, Wilson, and Shepherd. Sadly, though a number of these men first headed toward Rome regarding worship they are now even polluting the doctrine of justification by faith alone, in a further step toward adopting Romish heresies. First they rejected sound teaching related to the second commandment (worship) and now are further apostatizing by promoting errors in opposition to the first commandment (on justification by faith alone). This message is must listening for everyone who who seeks to follow the Lord, as He has revealed Himself in Scripture, in all things. Remember that the Lord Jesus Christ said in John 14:15, "If ye love me, keep my commandments," and in Matthew 15:9, "But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men," -- then ask yourself, "Where in Scripture is Christ-mass keeping commanded by God"?

“ Popish Worship In Protestant Churches? ”
Great choice for reading Brian, as this book clearly shows why Romish worship (man-made hymns, instrumental music, holy-days like Christmas, etc.) are now common place in Protestant churches -- and why this is contrary to Scripture and the best Reformation Confessions of Faith. Some of the quotes from historic Reformers (e.g. John Knox, Andrew Melville) are particularly telling.

“ On God's Sovereignty And Man's Responsibility! ”
This message echoes the idea found in the following quote from the book _Arminianism - Another Gospel_ (free at http://www.sermonaudio.com/sermoninfo.asp?sermonID=106071354170), "It is often alleged that Arminianism and Calvinism only differ in that the former chiefly stresses man's responsibility and the latter lays all the weight upon Divine Sovereignty. This is not correct. The Arminian does stress man's responsibility to the exclusion of the sovereignty of God, and this is a fruitful cause of more than one error. The man, on the other hand, who stresses the sovereignty of God to the exclusion of man's responsibility is a hyper-Calvinist and is in error on this aspect of truth just as surely as the Arminian. The true Calvinist lays stress on both doctrines as they are unfolded in the inspired and infallible Word of God" (Foreword).
