Faithful Remnant,

It's good to read your input. You certainly mentioned 3 strong "points". I found it discouraging that there was hardly any input in here tonight on such an important matter as prayer is. You seem to be "right on" as I read your comments, etc. from time to time!

If I may add my comments......

This topic regarding one's prayer life is, I believe, one of the most important/edifying topics I have seen here lately. I mean this with all my heart.

I struggle with "true prayer" so much each and every day. I hope and pray others will respond in "these rooms" as to how to help one who has struggled a long time with "true prayer".

I don't mean that other topics in this forum are not important, but I believe this topic of "prayer" is at the "top of the list" as far as I'm concerned.

Thanks much for whoever suggested this most important topic for discussion!

Hi Chappie,

A great big AMEN to what you shared. When you think of the overall picture, a huge group of people getting completely involved with this event [being held on the Lord's Day], and no involvement in God's Word or their souls eternal welfare, for many of these people, it's very frightening, so say the least!

Not because it is Pastor Greer, who I do not know, but this pastor is one of the most faithful pastors one can listen to. What a privelege and blessing it is to have this church service on sermon audio. I listen to him every week and throughout the week. I would rather be told the real Biblical truth now, that Pastor Greer brings, then be decieved by so many other pastors who bring a message so different from this. May God continue to bless the work in Ballymena. This congregation is blessed to have a pastor like this. Also, the reverence of this service, the headcoverings, the beautiful singing is such a privelege to hear and observe! I try to spread the word re" Pastor Greer and his faithful preaching in Ballymena "

Saint Terry,

I'm well, thank you and how are you? You seem to be "right on" as I read your questions and responses in some of the other "discussions" in these rooms! I believe more than ever that "judgement begins at the house of God". I'm baffled that many pastors, when they read of the impending doom on the lost [ yes, in their own congregations also ], that it is taken so lightly as if this was nothing but a fairytail. "our God is a consuming fire', outside of Christ. see Hebrews.. Even in these rooms, these urgent matters of "making our calling and election sure" is taken so lightly by some. Thanks for letting me share with you.

Donnie

Saint Terry Evans,

You made a good point when you said "they are afraid of their conregations, etc.'. It is mindboggling to me that many "pastors" are NOT truly afraid of the Lord. I wonder what some pastors think when they read so many verses in the Bible re: repentance, etc. What a contrast between the urgency of souls going to Hell by the thousands and contrast this to the concerns over the superbowl and not being able for their congregants to view this in their sanctuaries. I don't want to see people going to Hell. I have a heavy burden for souls. What is wrong with so many "so-called" pastors today?

One who is burdened and confused............

Faithful Remnant,

I totally agree with you. I have Bible study with a few men who have a real zeal for the Lord and have a heavy burden for lost souls, however, they attend a church where this game is shown. They don't seem to have a problem with this type of a thing.

Discerning Believer,

I wholeheartedly agree with you re: cancelled services on Christmas Day. I mentioned this particular event because of its magnitude. Harold Camping, I believe, is wrong when he said the church age is over. I don't agree with him, but something is going on!

Faithful Remnant,

Are you, along with me, baffled that in this "open forum room", only 2 or 3 people spoke about such a sad situation happening on this coming Lord's Day, re: the super bowl game taking up millions and millions of peoples minds, etc., not going to their churches in many cases, parties, drinkling, etc? I'm very confused in this room, these days.

I can't even begin to think that a church would promote watching the super bowl game at all, because it is being held on the Lord's Day, let alone in a church or church fellowship hall. Sunday [ the Sabbath Day ], which is still a "creation ordinance" [ see the 10 commandments ], is a day we should be attending worship services, meditating on God's Word, etc., The Lord gave us the Sabbath Day for this purpose, not for super bowl parties, games, etc., etc. So many churches have become entertainment centers instead of being a "hospital for sinners. I can see why the Lord says, "judgment will begin at the house of God". I believe this is happening at a fast pace. May God open the eyes of the pastors while there is still time!

One who cares,

If our neighbor's house was on fire and all were sleeping at the time and didn't know there was a fire, should we "intrude" and wake them up to save their lives? The unsaved people in this world are heading for Hell. Should we be "impolite" or "embarrassed" and never go to some "doors" and tell them what is ahead of them if they do not repent of their sins and turn to Christ?????

I'm sorry for calling you anti-vat. The only reason I called you by this name is, because that's the name you use! I just abbreviated for "space sake". Again, I'm sorry.

P.S. perhaps you should change your name if you don't like this name!

Anti...Vat..Amer...

You certainly know alot more of the earlier history of these people than I do. We/I must go by what the Bible says, regardless of what has happened, historically, etc., etc. The Bible tells us to "love our enemies", etc. It's only by God's grace if our spiritual eyes have been opened, otherwise you and I would still be in ignorance of God and His Word, such as many of these people are in today. There's nothing new under the sun!
As I said earlier, you, having come out of this "cult" will have a different light on some of these things than I would. I hope you know where I'm coming from. I don't want to see anyone go to Hell!!!!!!!!!!

Anti-Vat....you come on quite strong re: this R.C. "group". May I ask you that having seen and heard the many errors of this "group", don't you have a heavy burden for these people? I love people and don't want to see people go lost. This is all the more reason why we should witness and share the Bible with these people.
I can't help but believe that many priests know more about the Bible than what they share with their "groups".

Also, I was under the impression that R.C. folk could now read their Bibles...am I correct on this????????

It is very sad that the pope, who is head over so many people, has such a misunderstanding of many of our Lord's own words. It boggles my mind that people won't or don't go to the Bible and check out for themselves, the many errors of the R.C. Church. I'm not knocking this church. I just don't want to see people go lost under a "spirit of delusion". I've spoken to a number of Roman Catholic people, including priests, and I'm baffled at their ignorance of the Bible!

We may be very thankful that many are coming out of this church and going to churches where the Bible is clearly being taught by pastors who are taught by God, Himself, how to interpret His own word!

I really liked the last couple of comments. I will add my "AMEN" also, to those comments. The world, for the most part, celebrates this holiday so far away from focusing on the birth of Christ, why He came into the world, etc., that one can truly ask " should Christians celebrate Christmas, at all, especially as our brother said earlier, we're not even commanded to celebrate Christmas. Again, just as our brother said, look at the word "Christ mass". Should true believers stay far away as possible from this "Christian Holiday"????????

Food for thought: santa and satan are spelled with exactly the same letters!

Coincidence???????????

Just to add to some of the comments here tonight. I don't believe we have a freewill to either choose Christ or reject Christ. If we did, then how can we justify many of the verses in the Bible that oppose the freewill doctrine. For ex: " ye have not chosen ME, but I have chosen you". And again, "it is not of him that runneth or him that willeth, but of God that showeth mercy. And one more " I am found of them that sought me NOT". On and on the texts go that show there is no such thing as a freewill.

On the other hand, we are responsible creatures. I believe the Lord has to make us willing to choose Him. "It is God that worketh in you both to do and o will of His good pleasure". And again" they will be made willing in the day of His power".

I do believe in God's sovereignty and man's responsibility. Election is a very hard, if not impossible, doctrine to understand. I have spoken with people who do not believe that Christ died only for the elect, but rather, for every person living. How people come to this conclusion, I'll never know, because if Christ died for all, obviously everyone would be going to Heaven. This of course is not true. We only have to look around us and then we'll have that answer. Would to God this were true!!!!!

I would also like to thank sermonaudio for their wonderful ministry. Words cannot describe how thankful I feel that there even is a "sermonaudio". I know of different being blessed by sermonaudio. Imagine, for a small fee, an entire church service can be heard around the world. I am corresponding with someone from Japan because of God using sermonaudio. Sermonaudio is like a "miracle" that has happened.

I wish I knew who to personally contact to thank them for sermonaudio! No price can be put on 1 soul being converted to the Lord because of the Lord using sermonaudio.

I feel bad when people say things against this means being used by the Lord. Yes, there are things I disagree with in the forum, not neccesarily the speakers and pastors. I find that most of the speakers/pastors are very faithful to the Word. That in itself is a miracle to me, especially in a day where there is such a spirit of delusion in many churches [women pastors, churches/denominations condoning things completely contrary to God's Word, etc.

I hope that new people wlll start "speaking" in this forum. Unfortunately, some seem to have monopolized this room and worse yet, come with wrong doctrines, etc. Again may our Lord continue to bless sermonaudio!

I've heard it all...no tag????????

I grew up in the fifties and early sixties and we loved to play tag. The only sad thing was we had drugs in school. The 2 we had were bufferin and aspirin in the nurses office.

I feel awful for the people who have to send their children to public school today. They're one of the most ungodliest places I can think of! No prayer in school! Commonsense creation not being taught! No Bible reading [God's own rulebook meant for the good of humanity], being taught.

And no tag!!!!!!

I get sick to my stomach just reading this "no tag" situation.
