Hello beloved.

You may be interested to know that in our Bible class this morning, the subject of revival came up,and i said that Christians need to get on their knees and pray FERVENTLY,for this to happen.

Another saint said that Christians need to get out and witness more to people for this to happen.

Our Pastor, who is a spiritually discerning brother, said that the two thoughts expressed need to be combined to make one whole for this to happen....

that fervent praying LEADS to faithfull witness,...

and then we look then for God to be pleased to send revival.

Thought that i would share that with you as it thrilled my heart !

In providence i am now among saints who desire to help fulfill the great commission . Love it !

Hi yamil,
thankyou very much for sharing that news.

That sounds a great work that is going on their dear brother, and yes,i shall get on my knees in the closet, close the door, and fervently pray for what you have just brought to us.

I will do that right now, after sending this comment.

Time is slipping by ,so quickly, for precious souls, and it is heartbreaking that there is no fear of God before their eyes.

Weeping for sinners has become rare, hasnt it bro ?

Hello to my dear brethren Mike.... and also Mike,
...doing well thankyou, beloved, and hope you both are too. And your families.

The Lord has been dealing with me in certain aspects just recently,so i continue to grow ,bless His most holy name.

I have been hugely influenced by our Pastors recent sermons on Romans 12:1,2 ,and then followed by the thread about praying fervently for revival here on sermonaudio.

The two have gone together in a sort of chastisement way i feel, from the Lord ,in neglect of these duties, and i do long to be a doer of the word and not a hearer only.

So iam endeavouring to present myself as a living sacrifice daily, and this has helped me become more fervent in prayer.!

Work is going well, love being self employed, still not well physically ,but i take whatever the Lord sends my way, more tests to have soon, but there are lots worse off,and i thanks the Lord for 50 years of good health.

Anyway,i have said far too much about myself, sorry.

God bless you both.

Hello Yamil,
as you are not debating anyone on this thread,i thought it was high time to say how are you and your family ?

Are you still able to witness to the lost ?

Are you getting blessing in preparing, and preaching sermons ?

Lovingly in the Saviour,
Norm.

Hi Michael,from Endicott,
bless you for doing that ,it is a tonic to me !

Great analogy about Moses having his hands supported when the battle was on,so spiritual bro, love it !

What would happen,if say,50 per cent of the regulars on these forums would also get on their knees in fervent prayer,(maybe they do ?) for revival and everything else ?

Still,if it is only us two, then praise the Lord anyway !

To the battle then bro' as good soldiers of Jesus Christ.

Sermon:
The Difficulties in Witnessing
Dr. Tom Farrell

“ Great Sermon! ”
Absolutely superb ! This is so true ,Satan,Self,Saved saints and sinners whom ones yearns to come to Christ, all all hindrances to a beleiver involved in witnessing....i know from first hand expeireince how true this is...but i thank you ,dear brother Farrell, for your encouragements to carry on. O Lord, bless this sermon to dear saints,so that they may be stirred up to witness to lost sinners ,and that perfect love will cast out fear....the night cometh when no ,man can work ! Time is short !

To Coora,
good for you dear sister ,may the Lord be pleased to bless your outreach using the TBS tracts,as God's word will never return unto Him void Is.55:8-11 )be encouraged, beloved, i too have used them in the past.

Just goes to show that we have Christian Liberty in this area,i now use different printed gospel items to Coora, but it is the same message of the glorious gospel being proclaimed .

Well,by grace, this forum has had a big influence on my prayer life, praise His name,in praying in a more fervent way, than ever before on everything, not just revival.

May the Lord have mercy upon us all. I love you all dear brethren and sisters.

Michael from Endicoott,
thankyou for your encouraging words...may you continue to be blessed on these forums in your commenting and debating.

I am overjoyed to know that there is one with the same name as me,and knows the same Saviour as me,and is upheld by the same grace as me,and soon will be in the same place as me,having passed from death unto life !

O,do pass on my Christian love and regards to dear Norman Smith from Tennessee, and tell Him i look forward to meeting him one day in glory, both praising the Lamb of God that loved us,and gave His life for us !

Discerned Beleiver...i have used many items of literature in my years in outdoor testimony and witness, including the best book i have come across,..A sure guide to heaven by Joseph Alleine, which unfortunately they chamged the title from Alarm to the unconverted, which i think was a better title for an unbeleiver, but anyway, the content is the same, and in providence it happened!

Sadly though, bro,no tracts or gospel leaflets spring to mind.

I have narrowed my tracts to three only, Ralph Ovadals HEAVEN OR HELL ?,as that is the best i have ever come across, IS THERE ANYONE THERE? by Geoff Chapman,as that has the foundation of the Creation, and for children OUR WORLD leaflet. All 3 attractively printed.

Bless you 33k for that post.

To Lurker...
it was a real joy to see you still posting,as i thought that you had left.

This morning Naomi and myself prayed specifically for all of the household of faith who have unsaved spouses...and we prayed for you and your wife by name in partucular...and guess what, since coming across this thread,we are making every effort by grace for our prayers to be FERVENT !

As you know i stepped out in faith at the beginning of the year to go self employed as a cleaner/gardener,with an empty diary and praying that the Lord will fill it if it was His will.

I have now got 21 customers ! And next week, for the first time this year,i have a full 40 hour working week, spread over 14 jobs ! I am so happy, and praising the Lord for His goodness...to this undeserving wretch.

I still get out evangelising at least twice a month, and i still have a passion for lost souls.

My pain 24/7 has been releived by medication, praise the Lord, but i am still physically not a well person, but i take whatever the Lord sends my way,all these things have happened to me rather for the furtherance of the gospel !Philippians 1:12

I spoke to John UK yesterday,he is not well enough to street preach at the moment.

Have a blessed weekend,Lurker.

Dear Leebird,
thankyou very much for your lovely post.

I often think of some of the contributers to the comments as like Elihu....Hearken to me;i also will show you my opinion (Job 32:10 ),for example,or Job 36:2 where Elihu claims to speak on God's behalf !

We all mean well,i guess, but i had a big problem with professing Christians metaphrically casting their brethren /sisters into hell,or accusing them of possibly being more akin to Judas iscariot, just because they did not hold to their doctrines !

That was evil and wrong, and so i got out of it !
Have a great day,and the Lord bless you dear brother.

Yours in the bonds of the gospel,
Norm.

To And.

Thankyou for your comments.

I did not tell Lurker than Lexiconis was dead...as far as i know nobody has.

At the time of He/she,myself and JohnUK were on the forums,Lexiconis was in contact with me by private email, but the dear brother/sister did not at any time reveal his/her private details of any description.

My last email was never acknowledged, and John UK surmised that maybe Lexiconis had gone to be with the Lord because he/she had a serious heart problem.

Some people did not like the banter between Lexiconis/me/John UK,and gave their opinions for which they are entitled to,others like Lurker were supportive and spoke and acted in grace.

I for one miss John UK and Lexiconis, although yesterday i left a message on John UK phone ,and he has returned a message,on my phone, as i was out . I am hoping that we may meet again soon, and by Gods grace have another time of fellowship anf witness in the gospel.

Hope that you are being blessed,And,in your own walk along the narrow way.

Yours by abounding grace,
Norman Smith

For Leebird.

Hello dear brother/sister,thankyou for your gracious words.

Yes,the brethren and sisters have spoken with warmth and affection,of which i am undeserving.

I used to post on a regular basis on the forums, but realised that there are others who are far more articulate and spiritually discerning than me,and i was out of my depth in debating really....however,i do have a passion in witnessing for my Lord, and have a love for my brethren and sisters in the Lord, including these forums.

i do like to try and encourage the saints...and esteem them better than myself...but so often fail miserably !

Anyway, you are welcome to email me privately if you feel like some fellowship by this method. It would thrill my heart.

May you be blessed and encouraged in your walk with the Lord.

Yours by abounding grace,
Norman Smith

To my shame i have to say no i do not fervently pray for revival as i should....in fact, am asking myself do i fervently pray for anything ?

So again i search my heart in this matter, reflecting much, and repenting for the neglect of duty in this matter.

My old pastor said the church should be praying for reformation, not revival,as reformation of the church will lead to revival.

Anyone think that is so ? Not sure myself.

Hello to Kenny and Yamil,Discerned beleiver, and Lurker if he looks in.

God bless all my dear brethren and sisters.

“ Sermon full of practical help ! ”
I have listened to a number of this dear brothers sermons recently, on sermonaudio, and have always enjoyed, and been blessed by what i have heard. This sermon is full of help and practical soundness ,as brother Marc shares his thoughts on some things he has learnt over 40 years. If you want a sermon that is not too deep theologically at this time, but something that would build you up in your most holy faith practically, then i wholeheartedly recommend this...well worth half an hour or so of your time.

To Kenny ,and Wayne,
i will gladly go the extra mile for my dear brethren and order items for you from the UK,and send them to you, it will be a pleasure and joy to be able to do so.

If you could do the same for me regarding Pastor Ovadals leaflets, that would be such a blessing !

I suggest we email privately from now on in this matter though !

Many thanks bro.

This is a question to any of my dear brethren /sisters.

I am trying to find someone who produces a gospel tract or leaflet, preferably using the AV,attractively produced, that has repentance and hell mentioned ,that is readily available in the UK.

Indeed does anybody else use any that they could recommend.

I have been using Ralph Ovadal's Heaven or Hell tracts,(used alongside Is anyone there ? tracts )which are superb, but my son who got them for me,is back in the UK,and i dont know how to order any more, and pay for them from the USA.

Thankyou to anyone who would be able to help,it would be most appreciated.
