Michael H,Obvious Truth,

bless you both my dear brother and sister,i was so overjoyed to read your comments.

Oh,may the Lord encourage that dear brother you mentioned OT,so fearless in his testimony...thats what i aim to emulate by Gods grace,i have come a long way,by grace, from a shrinking beleiver too afraid to give anyone a gospel tract,to what i am now,but to go even further and bear Christs reproach outside the camp in totatlity is my goal, until that time He calls me to glory.

Oh yes,OT,what a great God i serve,i stepped out in faith at the beginning of the year, praying that if it was Gods will, that He would fill my EMPTY diary...and He has done this,my first paid work was £20 on January 2nd,making up a flat pack chest of drawers for somebody, and i have now done cleaning/gardening/decorating/handyman work for 39 customers,of which i have 9 regular cleaning jobs EVERY week, which brings me enough income i can live on.

My one little ewe lamb (my own dear Naomi)is also self employed (seamstress) and the Lord has blessed her with much work.

Oh my heart rejoices in the Lord's goodness to us undeserving wretched sinners!

What a Saviour !

May you,Michael, and you,OT,be truly blessed along the narrow way (and boy,it is very narrow ! ),but it leads to life.

Just wondering if it is worth putting any imput regarding this thread.?

Some on Sermonaudio forums know of my situation and passion i have in reaching the lost publicly, and my involvement in public witness.

I shall think about the question asked, and place a comment or two,if i feel i have anything worthwhile to add or say.

I have just started a book called *I am not ashamed* which is a call to those professing Christ, and who ARE ABLE (emphasis mine) to be involved in public soul winning.

That includes preaching, placard /personal witness/tract distribution, and door to door evangelism.

In the past though,i have found that the evangelism threads have produced relatively few who delight to know of those whom are involved in street witnessing.

I do not want to waste valuable time in encouraging the saints,if all it will get is poo-hoos and put downs.

“ Pay attention please... ”
..Pastor Monte is in my top two favourite ministers which are on Sermonaudio.(Michael Phillips being the other.)I just love listening to his sermons. I have learnt so much in this series on prophecies from the Bible,,and am delighted that it continues !This sermon revolves around Is.9:6...beautiful thoughts,a real blessing to the soul. I have very tentavely(,but i beleive rightly so),dont any more hold Reformed theology,in general, and Calvinism in particulkar as the be all and end all of my Christiajn walk. The final authority is the Bible, and instead of being browbeaten to a theological system,i have been delivered from that bondage. Praise the Lord ! My Christian greetings go to Pastor Monte, and the dear brethren and sisters who are in his congregation. May God bless you all.

To :-
Discerning B., Michael H., Mike NY, Lurker,Hopalong C,

my dear brethren, thankyou so much for your most encouraging words to me.

Well,it was a wonderful morning in Bracknell ! The weather was dry whilst we were there.

We had the usual mockery, rejection, and being told where to go with some foul language, but most positavely no less than 20 dear souls were open to personal witness, asking questions, and accepting gospel literature...the usual range of young and old.

They were :-Wilberforce,Helen,Laura,Nigel,Mark,Chris,Chris (2),John,Alan,Dennis,Violet,Michaela,Frances,Steven,Richard,Pat,Simon,Thelma,Ed,Jean,plus a few others who took tracts by the way.

Hundreds read the word on my new placard ! (praise the Lord for that.)

On one side of the placard i had * God commandeth all men everywhere to repent* and *Repent ye and beleive the gospel*, and on the other was displayed *Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners*,and also i had room to write *Dear soul, are YOU saved? If YOU were to die today, would YOUR soul be in heaven ?*

Oh, those dear, dear people,my heart just yearns for them. It is such a blessing being used in one to one (or sometimes a group) witnessing like this..it is all i want to do !!!

Thankyou again beloved for your prayers !

To Lurker, Hoppalong and Michael H (and a.n.other)

Just to come in to let you dear brethren know that tomorrow ,DV,i shall be witnessing and tracting in Bracknell town centre.

Please may i count on your prayers, that the word of God will have free course, that the Lord will be pleased to keep me and the brother who is coming with me safe ,and that God will be glorified, that Christ may be proclaimed as the only saviour for sinners.

May the Holy Spirit be pleased to quicken the texts of Scripture on my placard.

BTW,i have been given as a gift a new placard which is half the weight of my old one, which has been a great servant !

I did not mind carrying a heavyish placard,as the Lord Jesus carried a heavy cross, and was nailed to it. But i take this as from the lord,as i am very weak physically.

Isnt He wonderful ?

Also,i beleive the Lord has finished using me as a lone witness, and it is wonderful having like minded Christians, plus my dear wife, wanting to come out with me in evangelical work.

i have renewed zeal and enthusiasm !

Will report back of anything worthwhile (from a human standpoint )

May the Lord bless you all, have a lovely day,
Stormin'

Just popping in to say how saddened ,dear brethren, i have been, with some of the comments i have been reading recently on various forums

I would like to think that deep down you all love each other as brethren,or if not,,and you really do feel that those whom you debate with are not truly saved, that you will pity them and pray for them,as God told Jobs three friends that Job would pray for them.

Anyway,do have a nice day everyone, think much of the author and finisher of our faith.

With much love heartfelt love to you all.

Stormin'

p.s. will miss your input Yamil, as i like your sense of humour, but you may like to know that God willing i will be in Bracknell town centre witnessing, and i have a brand new banner half the weight of my previous one to display the Word of God upon. (Psalm 20:5 )

Brethren ,pray for us !(2 Thess 3:1)

As one who has the joy of being able to still spread the Word of God in outdoor evangelism, and not yet resisted unto blood,it is very humbling to come across stories of those who have gone before and paid the ultimate price of martyrdom.

By the way, after all these years of being a lone witness,God has finished with using me in this way,and i now have some people who are willing to join me in evangelical work, and i have been given a new placard, which is half the weight of my current one.!

Praise the Lord,i have renewed zeal and enthusiasm in this work...for if our gospel be hid,it is hid to them which are LOST.

God willing,i am in Bracknell town centre on Wednesday with a brother witnessing and handing out gospel literature.

O those poor lost souls we shall see ,may the Lord use us to pluck some brands from the burnings,to the glory of His own most precious and lovely name.

Dear Donnie,
not to interfere with your commenting, but just to say hi.

I have had a lovely.lovely Lord's day, superb challenging/encouraging preaching from the pulpit, and wonderful fellowship with some of my dear brethren and sisters in the pews.

Oh how my heart is bubbling over with joy and thankfulness for all these (unworthy though i am )blesings i have come to now,all through being forgiven and saved by our lovely Saviour, who loved me,and gave Himself for me.

Do have a nice week ahead ,if spared,in whatever the Lord has for you Donnie, and i hope that you are coping o.k. with various doctrines, and that the inner man is being renewed day by day.

With much love to you in the Saviour's name.
Norman

Michael,
bless you and thankyou ,and Sarah and Stephanie, you have humbled me with that post.

Yamil,
thanks as well, the strange thing is,the Lord Jesus has told us that the fields are white...WAITING to be harvested ! But,oh,how the labourers are few !!!

If there is anyone who is longing to be an outdoor witness for the Lord, but is fearful,i hope my messages from time to time encourage.

Yes,there will be mockery and verbal abuse, this is normal, but if one can ignore that, and it becomes water off a ducks back, then it is such a blessing to work for the master in this way,and just a small seed sown in His name may bring forth much fruit to His glory, and the ultimate salvation of precious souls.

The cry comes from hell *i am tormented in this flame*,if THAT does not move us to action, what will ?

John UK Where are you ?!!!

Hello KK,
i have not spoken to you yet on sermonaudio, but read your posts from time to time.Blessings in Christ to you and your family.

The dear person who has been debating you on television has been making somne great points to you.

Many years ago i had the DELIGHT of taking that sinful icon called a television down to my local tip site and hurled it into the waste skip, i was so pleased to see it gone...i did not even want to sell it and so it perverted another soul.

I have never regretted it,it was the best thing that ever happened to it a total timewaster, and i have repented to the Lord of ever having that awful thing in my house.

To
Lurker,Michael,JD,Mike,Yamil, any others who knew i was in Guildford this morning for three and a half hours witnessing, and prayed for me.

I cannot find an evangelism thread,so placing the comment on this one.

Negatively...plenty of people refused gospel leaflets offered.

Positively...hundreds of people saw the Word of God displayed on the placard. Precious life giving seed !

3 Christians gave words of encouragement.

Dear lost souls i was able to speak and witness to,and answer their questions, and who accepted literature:-Rob,Rachel,Franckie,Betty,Ann,Colin,Warren,Rita,Franchesco,Natasha,Chris,Lucas..plus half a dozen or so who took gospel literature, but did not speak.

Warren did not have a Bible,so i gave him my spare one.

Oh,i am encouraged and thrilled, those dear souls without Christ, and so without hope, what a tremendous blessing and privelage we have to share and proclaim the gospel... it is GOOD NEWS !!!!!

Thankyou dear brethren for praying,it was really good to know it .

May the Lord bless you all.Hallelujah, what a Saviour !

Amen to the previous post.

Christ said that He will not cast anybody out who comes to Him (in repentance and faith, with a broken heart confessing their sins.)

Some of us who have been initially down that road (under Arminian preaching) eventually are taught by the Spirit that it is all of God's grace,...whilst others do not.

Thankfully it is not a doctrine that saves, but Christ. Hallelujah !

Nowhere in Scripture am i told to choose between Calvinism or Arminianism,as if it is a perogative to do so, nowhere !

Incidentally,i heard that brother Fortner is an Antinomian ? Is this true ? If so,maybe he should be worrying a bit more about his own theology !

Resist the NWO,
i reckon that you have done us a big service...(and i am ready to be ridiculed as well)....in bringing these things before the Christian public.

I have been visiting Alex Jones and Ken Welch websites, and listened to Scott Johnson, and spent a lot of time on 9/11 websites and i really do recommend fellow beleivers to take this very seriously (NWO),and not to dismiss this out of hand.

Praise God that He is still on the throne, and all things are under His control, and evil will never prevail.

Thanks again gwb-NWO

Even so,come Lord Jesus

Hi Susan,
being from England,i will not be able to vote for Ron Paul,or anybody else, but it sounds like he is a true Christian then ?

I shall take more interest in the elections than before, and keep an eye on how Ron Paul is faring .

Assuming you yourself are a Christian, will just like to say ,....may the Lord bless you, dear sister,in your walk with the Lord.

He is worthy !

Hi Donnie,
I for one can understand what you are saying.

It can be quite daunting to try and cope with all the different interpretations of Scripture with so many with different beleifs on these forums, and each supporting their own viewpoint with Bible texts!

The title of this forum makes it seem that you HAVE to subscribe to a certain confession of faith, otherwise you are somehow deficient in your walk with the Lord.

This is not so. How can you be sure that any particular confession of faith has it 100 per cent right?

Keep yourself in the love of God (Jude 21), and look to Him to lead you gently and tenderly in the way that you should go.

I assume that you have listened to some of the sermons on sermonaudio ?

It is a healthy desire to want to learn. Christ Himself said :Learn of meMatt.11:29,with the promise that you shall find rest for your soul !)

May you find blessing, encouragement, and rejoicing in your soul, and find many preachers whom will be a help to you on your pilgrim pathway.

I will pray for you dear brother/sister.

Lovingly in the Saviour,
Norm.

Sermon:
The Rich Fool
Rev. James Beggs

“ Solemn Sermon! ”
As can be anticipated,a most solemn sermon on a solemn passage of Scripture. Brother Beggs, uses allituration in presenting this message, which makes it easier to grasp the enormity of what is about to be required....a never dying soul, and that soul about to pass out into eternity unsaved. This speaker is easy to listen to,and it is a blessing to have his sermons available to listen to on sermonaudio. A most challenging sermon in its simplicity and enormaty.

“ Revalues our service to Christ ”
Taken from the conversion of Saul of Tarsus.Pastor Monte gets right to heart of the matter in making one search the matter of our heart,in what we have done,or not done,or professed to have done,in our Christian service ,when it comes to the end,and we are placed in a casket, and lowered into the earth. Again, although this sermon is of an immensly challenging nature, there is so much encouragement in helping us to fulfill our potential in truly serving the Lord in Biblical precepts,to a lost aqnd dying world.
