Josef was raised in Ohio and was converted as a teenager by an unexpected intervention of sovereign grace. He has a Master of Theological Studies with an emphasis in exegetical theology from Reformed Baptist Seminary. He is currently pursuing further studies at Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary in Grand Rapids. He is the author/editor of two books, The Way of Salvation: Simply Set Forth and Great Doctrines of the Faith: A New Catechism for Children and Families (both published in Spanish).
