“ Great Sermon! ”
Another good message from Rev. Silversides. Make the lord your sanctuary and don't listen and join with the world around you. Trust in the Lord alone and do not go into "confederacy" with what the world is doing. A timely message from the Prophet Isaiah.

“ A Must Listen ”
Wow! One of the best/most important sermons I've ever heard. If you claim to be reformed, you must listen to this. If you have questions about circumcision and baptism, you must listen to this!!! Yeah, its long, but time will fly.

“ Living for God. ”
A message about a man who was centered on God, on God's glory and on His Word. Because of this God gave Calvin a great name.

“ Response to BWS. ”
Anonymous BWS gives me the impression that he read not many book written by C.S. Lewis. Or that he read not them well. It is clear that he knows not how to read, interpret and appreciate Lewis' fiction books. And BWS is not the judge who can say if Lewis was a Christian or not. What if God says Lewis was a saved man, now with the Lord? Does BWS know better than the Lord? By the way, his books, even with the wrong teachings in it, I think show well if Lewis was a Christian or not.

“ Good things and bad things. ”
It is clear that C.S. Lewis has erroneous teachings in his books. At the same time, I think this message is one-sided, it presents only his wrong teachings. Maybe another message with his good and great teachings should bring back a balance. Otherwise, people will think that Lewis was not a Christian or that Evangelicals should not read Lewis. Some comments on this message show this wrong understanding or ignorance. I read many of Lewis' books and I agree that there are things that are not sound orthodoxy in them. At the same time, I recognize him as a Christian and I declare that Evangelicals has many things to learn from him, great insights and seminal ideas. One-sided opinion on Lewis shown ignorance of his works.

“ Relevant and Needed Sermon! ”
This subject has become virtually taboo in the church and christian discussion, being defended against under pleas or charges of "legalism", "christian liberty", and especially "culture" (differences between today and the 19th century or earlier). While men are often charged with immoral advances in society by women, their own immodesty of dress waves a green light or provokes it. Mass media (TV, movies, advertisements, etc) and its acceptance in Christian homes cannot be overlooked as the principle indoctrination and cause for the acceptance of immodest "modern fashion". It is impossible to have different values from what we willing watch and expose ourselves too. Immodest fashionableness by christians then is a mere symptom of larger worldly conformity, which includes music, gender roles, and family relations. Gender dress should also be addressed. Satan began this major assault against Christian Culture during the "roaring 20s" and "sexual revolution" of the 60s and 70s, introducing a Revolutionary Anti-Christian Culture.

“ Great Sermon! ”
In last comment, when I say schools, I mean those which are started by christian families to share general knowledge & skill teaching responbility for our children. So in these meaning, I say it is churches not schools who are responsible for God's Truth.

“ Good Sermon! ”
It is a good sermon except. 1.There is no general revealation since we degenerated in Adam (Rom 5:12,Hew 11:3, Rom 10:17). 2.Althoug parents need to teach their children God's truth, it is the churches(including godly parents) NOT the schools whom God appoints to be responsible for teaching HIS Truth. But schools need to be run by godly christians and their daily operation and management need to be conformed to the Bible esp. God's law. 3.We need to completely obey not only Christ, but aslo the ONLY ONE God , the Holy Father, the Holy Son and the Holy Spirit.

Plain reasons for using the KJV Today

“ Similar to those below ”
In regards to a readable text, I tried to give a friend who was not a Christian a text that was not KJV; he rejected it. He told me it was an interpretation and that he had enjoyed the KJV as a child because he had difficulty understanding it and it took him effort. I find also my 17 year old cousin appreciates using the KJV because he has difficulty understanding what the Word is saying.

Sermon:
Was C. S. Lewis an Evangelical?
Rev David Silversides

“ Important Message ”
C.S. Lewis could not be a true Christian given the heresies and fictions he has published. Only his popularity and the fact that modern evangelicals have no discernment could cause him to pass for a "Christian". If you want allegory, compare his writings to that of John Bunyan, who was entirely scriptural in Pilgrim's Progess and Holy War. It is idolatry to remake the person or character of God and Christ into the works of one's own animated imagination (even mental instead of "graven" images), which is what he does. The works of C.S. Lewis should be denounced as mystical fantasy and heresies instead of Christian truth. His works are pure Fiction, NOT "Christian fiction".
