“ very enlightening ” dear pastor silversides, thank you for this sermon which the Lord really used to convict me about some of my wrong views and attitudes about the body. i listened to this because recently a baptist pastor i know had his young son cremated, and my cousin also was cremated recently because he was poor. it really is happening more often especially here in the US. but now i have more questions. what about organ donation? if our bodies are not our own do we have the choice to donate? should we receive an organ (including blood)? im having a hard time answering this question biblicaly. i dont want to have an overly strict view of these things but as you said many Christians have a very cavalier view of the body and i dont want to look at the body like spare parts but i also dont want to condemn the practice if its lawful. thankyou for your scritural insight and i hope your reply will help anyone else who is wrestling with this topic. “ Great Sermon! ” Great talk, particularly for those who have come to the exclusive psalmody position and think merely affirming a Biblical doctrine makes their worship acceptable.
The comments regarding the introduction of human compositions into worship being (generally) seen in churches that have a declining knowledge of the Scriptures is thought-provoking.
It is a sad that Mr Silversides (as he says himself) does not go into as many matters in as much detail as he can. Very much enjoyed it. But more importantly I was challenged by it. Feeling the blessing already.
“ Biblical, Helpful Teaching ” Rev. Silversides presents a well-made case for a distinction between the two sacraments and the parties properly involved. I particularly appreciated his explanation of how the denial of the Lord's Supper to children *does not* constitute a pronouncement that children are outside the kingdom.
“ 'with Christ, which is far better' ” May the Lord continue to comfort the family of our dear brother John. Such a blessing to be at the funeral of a believer. We do not grieve as those who have no hope!
“ Top Drawer ” Top notch stuff! What a great joy it is to be on the Lord's Side, a great way of demonstrating how election is a sweet doctrine to the Christian.

I pray that many will listen to this lecture in America. This Reconstruction/Theonomy movement have neglected the Gospel of Jesus Christ and replaced it with Moralism and Pharisaical attitude. May God help us to return to the preaching of the true Gospel of Jesus Christ!

“ Very Informative ” I am from a dispensationalist background but I always felt like things didn’t quite mesh. This sermon brought out some of the glaring problems that I couldn’t quite put my finger on. Whether you agree with Brother Silversides or not there is a lot to consider in this sermon.
