We consider that the soul who is lovesick for Jesus Christ will desire His ordinances and to be found under Christ's shadow in close communion with Him. In this way our love for sin and the world will be banished as we are totally taken up by Jesus. We are exhorted to grow in longing for both Christ and His ordinances as we prepare for the Supper.
