One of these days, sooner or later, every single one of us will die and be faced with the judgment. What if, when we came to that time, God asked us why He should let us into heaven? The only answer is because of the Lord Jesus Christ! We are imperfect, and we always will be as long as we live in this world; and God cannot stand unholy things. However, because of the perfect life and sacrifice of Christ, He has now declared us to be holy! And naturally, He desires for us to live in a holy manner now. For the rest of our lives, we will be living in a state of "spiritual renovation" -- and that is more than just outward changes! We must cling to the cross of Christ, and not our own self-righteousness. Our God is faithful and unchangeable, and He will never go back on His Word. |
