In our communion service we were exhorted to remember that Christ accepts sinners and eats with them. What the Pharisees thought was repugnant is truly the glory of the gospel and the hope of the Christian. Sinners are invited to come to Christ and His Table, but they must come as repentant sinners, forgiven by Jesus Christ, and then ready to deny themselves, take up their cross, and follow Him. Blessedly, Christ feeds them in the Supper so that they are enabled to do it. Preached at a Communion Service, Sabbath AM from Luke 15:1-2 on 06/06/21.
