SERMON INFO
The vision of the congregation speaks of being dedicated to the service of the church. Christ has perfectly fit the body together for the purpose of growing and prospering in love, and this is an excellent description of the communion of the saints. As each part works perfectly service results from that communion.

As members of the body, Jesus Christ is the head, and He controls, governs, and shepherds the church. No matter how much energy the members dedicate Christ remains the chief servant of the church and all good service must flow from Him. Each member of the Church of Christ is dependent upon all the others; God has designed the members to be interdependent upon the gifts of other members. The saints live together, work together and play together as part of their common communion sharing gifts and service alike. This puts hands and feet upon the gospel so that it may have the full effect that God desires. All members of Christ partake of His gifts and have a duty to employ those gifts for the saving and building up of others. Without mutual love the service of the body and the health of this body cannot be maintained or prosper.

The church on earth is the one thing that Christ loves above all else, and all godly service must proceed and flow through love for Christ and his church.
