Jesus is the shepherd who is David's shepherd. God has chosen us to our shepherd. Jesus prays this psalm to the father and is also the shepherd who leads to green pastures. God restores us particularly after great sin and forgives when we repent. We can be fearless as the Lord leads us through deep darkness and leads us to a bountiful table he provides.
