SERMON INFO
Millions of people have bought Dan Brown's book and many more millions are likely to see the film. This address provides enough information for Christians to contend against the central falsehoods of the story and thus help pave the way to bear witness to the truth of the Gospel to those around them. The path followed is:

1. The plot. Brief summary of the characters and story thread.

2. The Secret. The blasphemous supposed secret, the alleged protection of which lies at the core of the story.

3. The Illusion of Fact. Brown's claim of a factual basis for the anti-Christian secret is examined. His use of the novel-thriller format means he avoids scholarly accountability and promotes a falsehood as well as sales and profits.

4. Fundamental Falsehoods on which Dan Brown Bases His 'Alternative Christianity'. Dead Sea Scrolls, Nag Hammadi Scrolls, Gnostic Gospels, re-writing of history regarding Constantine, spurious attack on the view of women taught in Biblical Gospels, what the Gnostics really say about women.

Why Brown didn't attack Islam - no fear of a fatwa from Christians. Necessity of Christians having a basic knowledge of how to expose Brown's ludicrous claims.

“ Great Sermon! ”
Good sermon! Gives very useful information concerning the DVC. Although the DVC is obviously fiction, it is good, nay vital, that Christians have answers to give to the scoffers (I Peter 3:15) in these days.

“ Light shed on dark topic! ”
This is yet another excellent sermon by Rev. Silversides. The DaVinci Code is such a popular book that Christians must take notice of it's blatant heretical teachings. Despite it's being a novel, many are taking it for a fact based adventure story! Rev. Silversides clears up the fog surrounding such issues and applies the light of Scripture to enable the listener to make sound biblical life decisions. Thank you again Rev. Silversides!
