I don't mean to minimize the errors or weaknesses in Stott's theology, but I think that to assess justly a person's Christian identity, one has to look at the whole of his teaching, as well as the fruit of his life. Stott was no universalist-- he believed that salvation was by grace alone, through faith in Christ alone, received solely on the basis of His penal substitutionary atonement. Read his commentary on Galatians, Romans, or his book on the Cross of Christ. They are biblical, edifying, and evangelical. I came to believe in the inerrancy of Scripture as a result of reading his booklet entitled "The Authority of Scripture."

Titus 1:10 KJV - For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision:
Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake.
One of themselves, [even] a prophet of their own, said, The Cretians [are] alway liars, evil beasts, slow bellies.
This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith

It is a naive simple minded child who thinks someone like bachmann or palin can beat the obamanation. Only Herman Cain can win against the dogs of hell but the media have already shut him out including conservative media because they are not conservative anymore they are merely enslaved tools to false conservatism. America is cursed and entirely taken over by Flaming Darwinist Sodomite Marxists. Little doubt to me that it will burn up too just like Sodom and Gomorrah did for their filthy raging sinful minds.

Clearly, the moral substance of all ten commandments is binding in the sense that we cannot ignore any principles of righteousness that appear in the commandments of the Law. But if by 'binding' one means literally binding, then only nine are binding in that sense, since the fourth commandment is of a mixed character. It is ceremonial and moral at the same time (see Calvin, the Institutes). Its 'literal' keeping under the Old Covenant involved abstaining from all servile labor, including household tasks like lighting a fire in one's home, gathering sticks, cooking, etc. Very few Christians today keep Sunday with such strictness, nor should they feel obliged to, since the Lord's Day is clearly not identical in every way to the Old Testament Sabbath. Although the principles of righteousness enshrined in the Sabbath law find expression in our use of Sunday as a day of refreshment and worship, Sunday or the Lord's Day is not (contrary to the Westminster Confession) simply "the Sabbath Day changed to the first day of the week." The Lord's Day is a distinctive observance of the New Covenant, with its own distinctive characteristics. We keep it because of the example set by the apostolic churches, not because of an apostolic decree changing the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday.

Is there a need for secondary/high school level Christian schools for the homeschooling community? I think many families would be stretched to provide a broad academic programme for their children at that level? What is the preference of homeschooling families?

“ fly on the wall ”
The highlight of this particular debate was when Dr Bark quoted the Oxford Dictionary of the Christian Church: "The identification of the pope with the anti-christ has frequently been made especially in the less educated circles of protestamtism." I almost spat out my apple juice. peace Ó
