Hey y'all. I am considered a member of a Mega Church, SeaCoast actually, in SC. Its great and all for those that start out in their faith. It did help me, wait not really. i was thinking today that i never got much out of a megachurch. I dont disagree with having the great band or anything like that. And its not a big deal if they have power-point of the lyrics.
the thing that is important is if the people are worshipping in Spirit, and i have. The music is great but like sex, it can be currupted. People can make the music their worship. I can worhsip God with Hymms or with the type of worship they have at my church. I went to church today and decided never to back again, not for sunday anyway. They sung two songs and it was great, but then they stopped and went into a message that was probably watered down, i dont know i didnt stay. I leave that place needing more. the worship is great and they are passionate for christ, but the message is for people just starting out i guess. The way i see it is that they are preaching god to fit into our lives instead preaching how our lives should serve God. The good news is that they are changing that! I have always done my own research and grew in my own personal time with God and the Bible.

I think its amazing. We have this new age of our Church in America and it has taken hold of many of us who dont know better. Research your stuff. Really read what Rick Warren says. He says to have confidence in yourself! Did you know that the guy who wrote Wild at Heart has a wrong view of God's sovereignty? god apparently is a God that gambles and hopes it turns out right. we need to research these things. We give into these teachers who have big names and flashy titles and it turns out that they are teaching against the Bible. The sad thing is that it turns people away from solid truth. My friends dont like it when i bring it up. you just have to love they say. Or they say that they do a whole lot of good. It doesnt mean how big their church is. Do they preach the Word correctly? Purity of the Church over the number of the Congregation.

I think we should remember the difference between evangelising and leadership. And also remember that there were women prophets. To prophecy the word of God is no problem. that is the argument you are discussing. What the problem is is the leadership aspect of it. Remember that Paul said he created man first and then women. And paul also said that it was eve that was deceived and not Adam. That is the reason he gives for not allowing such a thing to happen. remember, speaking boldly the word of god is not a problem. But when you preach or teach you are taking authority over your pupil. Want a good example of women pastors deceiving her congregation? (not to say that men dont deceive...) Joyce Meyer. She wrote in one of her books that Jesus paid for our sins in Hell and not on the Cross. And then she adds that if you dont believe this doctrine you cant be saved. So take a good overview. If you dont believe this doctrine that is unbiblical, you cannot go to heaven... Women should not be pastors...
