I am sorry Terry, but your posts are hard to understand sometimes.

If you have an IM service like yahoo or hotmail you can email it to me if you like and maybe we can better communicate that way.

Every definition in the world literally defines baptism as immersion. But of course those in the F_anciful L_and of the Calvinist could care less about that. If do not care what the Bible states, what would make anyone believe that they care what every ?dictionary in the world say in accord

Actually it is coming from someone that believes God COMMANDS us to use our free will.

Big difference Mr. Strawman.

Calvinism teaches that God does not mean what he states. It only takes a couple simple questions for me to make that blatantly obvious.

God's word states, "For God so loved the world."

The Calvinist state, "For God so loved the elect."

Hellow, Good morning!

Is there a doctor in the house?

Next thing you know you will be accusing me of following Agustiniansm and our Baptist fathers being nothing more than reformed Catholic monks.

Ha!

That's what I love about you Walt, you make your theology be nothing more than a stand up comedy!

The fact that you would compare an OT rite to baptism is laughable.

There is such a vast difference between baptism as an ordinance and an OT sanctification rite, that only one who is desperate to find proof where proof is nowhere to be found would even attempt to find a resemblance.

lol

Well, I do not introduce myself as the Weapon of Mass Instruction when I get in front of the pulpit, if that is what you mean. Ha!

And I do not normally use a debating style when I am on the pulpit, so I guess the simple answer is no.

Maybe you can be more specific.

"Weapon of Mass Instruction" is an ironic tongue and cheek that I have adopted. You see Calvinists are generally elitists. There are a few that I have met here that certainly are not, but generally they are. And there is nothing more unnerving to an elitist than to have those that they despise to act smarter than they.

It's funny to observe really. I find it a wholesome form of entertainment.

I remember when I first started to use the allias (JD could attest to this). All the Calvinist united to banned me simply because they assumed it to be prideful. I could have almost tasted the foam in their mouths.

I did get banned. But SA quickly changed his mind about my alias.

Have you ever wondered why I misspell "dehvastating"? Because SA banned the use of the word! Ha!

That is the same reason why I have to type the following phrase the way I do:

"The F_anciful L_and of the Calvinist"

And indeed it is.

Ha!

Yes. The standards for Pastors are particularly found in I Timothy chapter 3.

And yes I do. I am not perfect, but yes I do meet those qualifications.

There are two basic conservative positions that differ in the "husband of one wife" clause:

1. You could have not been divorced at all in your entire life.

2. You could have not been divorced since you have been saved.

I believe #2 is more Scriptural. Jesus forgives us from all of our sins. Now if we divorce as a Christian then, I believe that that disqualifies a person from the pastorate.

I can give scriptural reasons for this.

Query wrote:
No answer then. Just more screed to add to the nonsense you previously posted.
Actually, its called the dehvastating truth. Allow me to repeat it for you:

The dehvastating truth is that there is nothing in the Bible that states that Abraham was unconditionally chosen unto salvation.

Query wrote:
If he was not chosen for salvation then what? Just so that God could make a nation of him - just for the fun of it!
Yes but not for fun. God wanted him to be a father of many nations. Yes, not just the elite Calvinist. God always desired the world to come to him.

Query wrote:
Of course only someone who calls himself WOMI can completely miss that all God's dealings in the OT since the proto-evangel announced in Gen 3 were to do with salvation!
Yes, I am sure with your free-for-all hermeneutic you can gather that Abraham's potty breaks had something to do with salvation.

Yamil, then it is up to you to show me from scripture where Abraham raised his hand during a church service, walked an isle, said a sinner's prayer to invite Jesus into his heart.
Better get some malpractice insurance, you may need it.
Some more strawman I see. Like I said, its easier to argue against a ghost than to confront the dehvastating truth.

Query wrote:
Nehemiah 9:7
Thou art the LORD the God, ****who didst choose Abram***, and broughtest him forth out of Ur of the Chaldees, and gavest him the name of Abraham..
Notice that the verse states nothing about salvation. Using query's hermeneutic I can easily prove that Abraham was chosen to be the next president of the United States.

Ridiculous? Yes. The deathnail to Calvinism is called context: something that they pridefully admit having no regard of.

It's a free for all hermeneutic. The only listhmus test is whether or not it agrees with Calvinism.

I take it to mean that I am right and you do not allow God's word to be sovereign enough to state what it means and mean what it states. You only added the extra information that we all knew but were waiting for you to state: viz. that you do not care.

You even provided proof below. Instead of appealing to God's Word you appeal to your perverted logic. Do you really expect me to answer seriously to a ridiculous question as the one you propose?

Query wrote:
Did Abraham seek God? Or did God seek Abraham?
That is as dumb as asking "Does the husband seek the wife, or does the wife seek the husband?"

Hellow! Is there a Doctor in the house?!?!

Oh, that's me.

A relationship does not work unless both parties involve invest in it. There is no such thing as a one-sided relationship.

The dehvastating truth is that the Scripture do not state that God unconditionally chose Abraham unto salvation.

But of course, as I said before, you do not care, do you?

I like to start with what the Scripture states; you like to start with what does Calvinism state.

Your motto:
Sola Calvinism!
