I think he was enforcing your position John UK. This was taken from Deuteronomy and not Revelation, but it's still the Word of God. In reality there is nothing wrong with letting God's word do the talking. Next time try and be a little more Discerning about what you are reading.

Quran (8:12) - "I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them"

Nah, not violent. How blind can these people be?

Stop calling these people "radicalized Islamists"! A simple study of the Qur'an will reveal that these are simply devout followers of Islam consistently practicing what can be found in the Qur'an.

If anyone comes preaching another gospel, let him be accursed. One gospel.

I meant they teach gender degradation, not against it.

Jim Lincoln write:

There May Still Be Reason to Investigate Their Churches.

The only reason is because they teach against gender degradation by homosexuality and the changing of one's sex. This mayor is breaking the law!

This is really being overly exaggerated. The secular left is constantly lifting up Islam over Christianity passing it off as a religion of peace but there's no reason why our kids can't learn about it's core beliefs. I'm a teacher and often end up doing the work of parents but the responsibility of educating ones children on such topics rests upon the parents. However, many are neglecting their God-given role. Parents, be responsible, do your research, sit down with your children and teach them the truth regarding the false prophet Muhammad and his wicked religion!

I believe Jim is simply pointing to the use of relics. The Catholic use of this Brown Scapular is a blasphemous error. No such relic could ever have saving power. Therefore when comparing the usage of relics the Catholic example is far worse. Now, which of the two groups is closer to the truth of the Scriptures? Definitely the Catholic church.

The only question we have to ask these people is "why would you be offended of we are all just stardust, particles of matter resulting from some random explosion? What do you care what other stardust decides to do or not do?" Subjective morality cannot make any valuable claims about morality!

Um. I don't see how MBTS is related to the article at hand.

However, since I intend on going there in the near future, I'd like your opinion, the way you write suggests you are currently a student there.

So how exactly is having a president wet behind the ears "destroying this seminary"?

Pastor Hammack has committed adultery among other things so I think he did the right thing by stepping down.

Interesting article. Can't say that it didn't have an decent argument, but it was definitely set within a framework of an agenda. Just like money is a root of all evils it could be the same for music. It is a means that can be used for good as well regardless of form.

Just fyi. Luther loved instruments. I speculate that he said that about the organ because he couldn't master it. He would also take bar tunes and apply his own lyrics.

Doubting Thomas: What are you? Eight years old? Act your age, not your shoe size.

Dolores: Yes ma'am. Which is one reason that it is of the utmost importance that Christians learn the principle and application of Biblical Discernment. Much of vain tradition and unbiblical doctrine could be thrown out of Christian pulpits were men of God to really "study to show themselves approved into God".

Watch it Doubting Thomas. It's not Johnny Y's mere opinion, it's the word of God you just discounted. Snide remarks never got the cause of Christ anywhere but further down the hole. If you're not going to stand by the very basic principles of the Bible (such as the doctrine of Salvation by Grace through Faith) , then you are in fact "taking the name of The Lord in vain". Claiming to be His, yet denying His written Word. Kind of contradictory on your part. Get over your idiocy and focus on drawing closer to Christ. Get in your Bible and you may find that it clears up a lot of the junk that's clouding your mind.

Not to hijack this thread, but...

JSC, we've had some disagreement on another news story and perhaps it's because of how some text conversations communicate, but appreciate your post and your effort for the work of the gospel.

...it's rather curious to be able to communicate with someone halfway across the country on some random news comment thread and then be in an area of potential contact...Praying for you and your wife.
