Yes! Tho' ideally, under a theocracy where there'd be no need, I would say 'no', under our secular system there is no reason to deny us. Women are as capable mentally, morally, and physically (tho' not always as efficiently due to differences in physical strength).

However, I would prefer to see women in their own combat units rather than integrated with the men. That would cut down on sexual tensions and pregnancies ...and the men would not be distracted by naturally protective instincts.

I would also get rid of "Don't ask, don't tell" and put all homosexuals in their own units without regard to gender since they make no distinction and would not deny their right to fight and die for their country. Sexual tensions might not go down but there'd be fewer pregnancies.

By the way, I retired from the USNavy after 20 wonderful years of service doing a job that would've had me assigned to a combat unit afloat had I joined years later than I did.

The topic is a bit misleading as only one party is represented. No matter. I voted "other" since I'm not sure at this time which of any party is the least of the evils. But I do know it will not be for a Democrat!

Like JY, I've been a registered voter since the age of 18 but as a Republican. I, however, recognize the degradation of my party and never have felt bound to vote GOP regardless.

JY also honors the traditions of men [gratitude for favors done his ancestors] over the sanctity of life. Being pro-life is not the same as being anti-abortion as witness his support for abortionists.

Part of the problem with the GOP is the moderate Democrats who switched party affiliation and brought their cowardly leftist socialist ideas with them. They had neither the heart nor the understanding of Reagan who totally spurned his Democrat beginnings. So now the GOP is as corrupt and selfish as the Dems party and all the people are left to suffer. There are no more statesmen only politicians.

It grieves me to note that biblically speaking the two parties remind me of Jeremiah 3 with the Dems as backsliding Israel who will be more justified than traitorous Judah aka the GOP.

May God have mercy!

"... educators didn't want to be forced to pick and choose which flags should be permissible."

The cowardice and stupidity of the Politically Correct strikes again!

It's pretty sad when someone in a leadership position has to be "forced" to choose their own national symbol as "permissible". I suppose "The Star Spangled Banner" and/or "America the Beautiful" will also be considered for banishment at some point. "God Bless America" is surely not welcome.

Too bad Ms Langston allowed herself to be intimidated instead of supporting her daughter. But at least the school finally, somehow, got the message that they were being incredibly foolish and ignorant!

But she said ... as for all the magic: "It's pretend. It's like a child doing a pretend magic act and saying 'hocus pocus.' The magical element is a very small aspect of the story."

Does that mean Harry is only pretending to be a student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry? How small an aspect is the school?

She's just making excuses for being a "Potterite" for if she convinces others then of course she must be right. Wonder if she's also a fan of Anne Rice.

"For me, that symbolizes who I am," Redding said. "I look through Jesus and I see Allah."

Had she looked to and not through Jesus Christ she would not be confused and deceived in her beliefs.

Well said! Also from the article:

QUOTE
"All you have to do is read the ruling, and you will find that this will never save a single child, because even though the justices say this one technique is mostly banned -- not completely banned -- there are lots of other techniques, and they even encourage abortionists to find less shocking means to kill late-term babies," he said.
UNQUOTE

The issue before the court was not abortion in general but only this one facet of it. As such it may "never save a single child" but it will spare many other children this particular torture. And if you can't (or won't) stop a murder, the least you can do is encourage the murderer to use "less shocking", less stressful, less painful methods.

Man's sinfulness ensures that abortion, like the poor, will always be with us. I prefer small incremental steps to no progress at all while waiting (unrealistically) for the one giant step that ends all abortions. Until societal mores again condemn abortion wholesale the best we can do is restrict it and regulate it.

As to what pro-life donors may or mayn't've been told, it is the individual's responsibility to investigate the issues and to make assumptions at their own risk.

Abigail, may we assume that you do not vote? Voting is after all political.

Lack of Christian political involvement has promoted unrestrained abortion, child abuse, (child) pornography, divorce, educational decline, euthanasia, fornication, homosexuality, kidnapping (aka Child Protective Services), and other immoralities. Those who choose not to register disapproval by their votes give tacit approval to whatever ungodly laws, rules, or regulations the voters approve.

Without Christian political involvement the USA would not have been, the Founding Fathers would not have been, and Geo.Washington would have been George Who? Although not a Christian nation the USA was founded on Christian principles and ideas that your savages would not have conceived.

"A righteous man falling down before the wicked is as a troubled fountain, and a corrupt spring." -- Proverbs 25'26

I commend IPjr for standing firm unlike so many political and religious leaders who apologize for speaking truth rather than lose public clout or suffer the abuse of the ungodly.

"Jesus is challenging churches, ... Jesus is saying ..."

Actally this priest is promoting some guy named Jesus and not the Lord Jesus Christ . Hopefully the congregation will not tolerate any more foolishness and will replace Jo Mdhlela with a priest who God knows! (Matthew 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.)

Fuzzy Logic ur well named. I agree with you with the caveat that the reference should be to liberals not Republicans. Altho there are pro-homosexual Republicans it is liberal Democrats who have provided the leadership and impetus to acceptance and condoning of that sin. The majority of homosexuals vote Democrat.

2 Corinthians 6'14-18: Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
