Great Sermon! The premise of this message is, "A Distorted view of hell helps support a distorted view of Christ." This sermon is very helpful especially if you ever encounter a J.W.
Great Sermon! How blessed we are to be in on this conversation between Jesus and the woman at the well. Praise God for His Word to us and those who proclaim it.
We need to be on guard against apostates among us! New testament apostates are described here in all their dreadful wickedness through old testament examples: angles, Egypt, Sodom & Gomorrah, Cain, the rebellion of Korah, and Balaam.
Is God Really First in Your Life? This sermon really convicted me as to the question above. The words of Deut. 13 are not easy words to be sure, though they do tell us much about how we are to love our God. I love the way the old and new testament Scriptures are brought together by Dr. White. The explaination he gives of how these words can be twisted and our need to have an answer is very good to know. Also that we need to leave the results of our answers, to Deut. 13, to God, to work out His own purposes. He teaches us how we end up with shallow love for the Lord. The ending is excellent, "...that every act of sin is a demostration that we love something or someone more than we love God." May God give us the desires of His heart, to follow, fear and love Him most of all, with Jesus as our example and grace as our strength, we will do better to love Him most of all. Thank you Dr. White!
Can you be too logical? Pastor Steve compares the various systems of theology for consistency and inconsistency. This whole series, on the doctrines of grace, have been a blessing to me and is a great resource to refer back to when I need to defend the faith and strengthen my heart in the truth of God's word.
Excellent Sermon! Good insight here into the sin of hypocracy. Hypocracy like covetousness are often over looked in our lives. We do need to be on guard. I'm glad the word of God exposes these in our lives, as Pastor Urroz says here. I see a lot of people, in my life, who confess Christ as their Savior, yet there is no power in their life to righteousness. I often wonder why, perhaps this is the answer. It's very sad, the times we live in, so many false teachers.
Great Sermon! I love the Biblical examples given here to show God's complete sovereignty and man's full responsibility. This is a very good teaching on the providence of God, and the holiness of God. Good question in the sermon details, "God delivered up Jesus to be Crucified, yet man murdered him. Who is to blame?".
Great Sermon! God did so many beautiful, amazing and frightening things during the days of old testament believers. Those days though are over and a new and brighter day is here. Good illustrations are made here for the fading glory of the Old Covenant and the blazing beauty of the New. How blessed we are to live in these last days.
Great Sermon! It's heartbreaking when Pastors and their families suffer because of a lack of knowledge and obedience to God's will from the congergation. It is also sad when Pastors are paid an exuperant amount of money. This is a very good sermon on what is right, what is Biblical concerning pastoral support.
Great Sermon! Something said in this message, "...God's design, anything other than that is going to be a problem, anything other than that is going to have sin attached to it, anything other than that is going to cause heartache." is a soild rock truth. Excellent message, outstanding series.
Great Sermon! I thought Enoch was a super saint and never would have got, from the Scriptures, all that this pastor has taught. It's hard to think of Enoch being like me. I am encouraged though to walk uprightly with the Lord, great sermon.
Great Sermon! This mini series has been such a blessing to me. I was raised in dispensationalism, so trying to get the truth of God's word straight in my head hasn't been easy. Pastor Marquedant is a good teacher. I feel like I have the truth settled securely in my mind now. It seems so obvious to me now, oh how I hate fales or mistaken teaching of God's word. I'm so grateful for these lessons from Romans and I'm looking forward to the rest.
Great Sermon! Amen! It is the Word of God that saves, I don't know why some preachers want their churches filled with unbelievers. God's people are left starving and the unbelievers are comforted, this is not what the Great Shepherd wants for His people. I hope that those who pastor churches would get back to taking care of God's people and not pleasing the unbeliever. The Lord's day is for US!
Great Sermon! What a great lesson! Wow, it's like connect the dots, going from one book to another and having them all fit together like a puzzle, amazing. I loved it when we went to Isaiah 63, and then Rev. 19! I'm loving this series on Herbrews. Thank you Pastor Dan for making obscure verses of Scripture come to live for me, I love it!
Great Sermon! This lesson on humility felt like I went on a magic carpet ride through the whole Bible, it was wonderful. Thank you Gordon for bringing such insight to this passage of Scripture.
Great Sermon! There is a false gospel and a false Jesus being preached today. Being reminded of this was a good warning for me,see 2 Cor. 11:4. The paraphrasing at the end is also good. From beginning to end this is a Great Sermon!
Great Sermon! Good title to a great sermon. It is indeed vital that we strive together for the gospel and not strive with each other over non essentials. I Like what the Pastor said, something like, if you're striving with each other then no one wins, we need to be willing to give up our rights and be of the same mind in the Lord.
