James Thomas wrote: What once was checks and balances for the very purpose of guarding against what is transpiring are now the means by which they are doing it. Bro JamesIf only the SCOTUS justices were interpreting the Constitution. Problem is they're past caring about the Constitution. For them and most in this country, including many who call themselves 'conservatives', it has become a meaningless and irrelevant historical document. Time for "we the people" who still believe in the Constitution to take back power. Trick is how to do so without another uncivil war. |

Mike wrote: From the news: "Six in 10 Americans don’t think it’s wrong for people to identify with a gender different from their birth sex, according to the Nashville-based research organization" Once again we need look beyond the obvious into the error of using language that offers credibility to the argument of the "identity" crowd. The question shouldn't be "Is it morally wrong to identify with a gender different than the sex they were born?" It should be "Is it morally wrong to claim your gender is other than it is?" The first question assumes a reality that does not exist, and calls for an answer based on a subjective feeling. The second question insists on an objective answer based on a reality that does exist. Considering this research question was asked by a Christian organization, you have to wonder how it is they seem oblivious to the fact that giving credibility where there is none moves the whole issue in that direction. Thinking critically is a rare skill these days, even among those who claim to think!B. Warely I am baffled by your question. The answer is very simple viz. the lie that they claim to be anything other than they are! This subversion when publicly accepted, undermines all moral issues related to gender. |

They like to play a game called "Let's guess whether it's inspired or not, or shall we just let Papa tell us what is inspired and what is not?" Of course it then depends on who the Papa is at the time as to what answer you get back. Real hoot but keeps everyone on their toes. _____________________________________ Rodney I see you're quoting the Authorized Setting-People-Free Bible! Stick to that bro. GSMontana wrote: How many people have to die before the western world wakes up? Islam is not compatible with western civilization. End of story. I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone. .. Is this part of the strong delusion that God has sent abroad to those that refuse to believe?!American colleges and universities are being subsidized heavily by Saudi princes and in return history text books are being rewritten to white wash the role of Islam in the world and cast America as the great Satan. We now have generations of young people growing up believing Islam is benevolent and that America needs to turn to Islam and Sharia law to redeem itself! Where are the atheists who are so vocal for Christianity to be kept out of the public square and schools? They don't say anything for fear of their lives. Cowards! What is happening under this administration was happening under Bush too. For instance when Bush made that speech after 9/11 he had representatives from the muslim brotherhood standing right next to him. Remember he too said Islam is a religion of peace! |

John for JESUS wrote: If I was wrong like you are, I wouldn't be yawning. I would want to listen to God's word. If Romans 11 isn't speaking about the nation of Israel and the physical descendants of Abraham according to the promise, then it makes no sense! I do wonder what part of God's word makes any sense to you!The entire argument to Rom 11 starts at Rom 9. So if you're going to understand the argument follow it a step at a time. So what is the starting point? Listen to these verses: Rom 9 6 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: 7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. 8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed. He's already stated something similar back in Rom 2 28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: 29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God. The literal ethnic Israel is not in view! |

The soil is rich, the seeds are plenty, and the water, in most cases, is abundant. Shortage of farmers? Governments controlling food supplies? Gandhi (the Indian leader) used to say that there was enough food to meet every man's need, but not enough to meet every man's greed! Some years ago I read an article explaining that in Europe farmers were given subsidies to NOT grow food because of fears of overproduction. They apparently have huge grain stores in Europe. Kinda reminds me of the rich farmer and his stores. What a wicked world we live in! |

Hey JohnYep, you got it. Funny that it was ever called the temperance movement when they meant abstinence!! I guess liberals have always liked to use mislabelling as a tactic to get their way. The issue here is basically that a few Pharisees here want to impose their incorrect and skewed views on everyone, as though our consciences should be tied to their views. They cannot produce one single verse that simply says "YE SHALL NOT DRINK WINE"! And the reason is simple, there is not a single verse that says that because there is nothing evil in wine per se. But like Psalms only singers rather than produce a single verse they will produce lots of opinions and angles (all false) as to why their view should prevail. They have set themselves up as judges despite Col 2.16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days.! Good morning saints!Revelation 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. John Chrysostom (347 -407AD) was the archbishop of Constantinople, and perhaps one of the most eloquent preachers. He writes, "..wine is the work of God, but drunkenness is the work of the devil. Wine makes not drunkenness; but intemperance produces it. Do not accuse that which is the workmanship of God, but accuse the madness of a fellow mortal" (from First Homily on the Statutes) A millennium later we have Martin Luther (1483-1546) writing, “Do you suppose that abuses are eliminated by destroying the object which is abused? Men can go wrong with wine and women. Shall we then prohibit and abolish women? The sun, the moon, and the stars have been worshipped. Shall we then pluck them out of the sky?" Why is it that today's "sages", including our resident Sharia loving legalist, find this concept soooo difficult to comprehend? As I've always said, liberalism is a disease, and sadly there's folk here who are infected with it. More later. |

May I butt in? - ya's still asking permission Please permit me to interject and offer my point of view .... reasonable and polite. Now if ya's familiar with the Bible ya should know about Leopards Jeremiah 13:23 Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil. That ain't a good place to be and there can be no pressing toward the mark cos ya ain't even on the starting line. That be like one person on here who's ever learning and never coming to the knowledge of the truth. Hope for ya sake that that was just a slip up. If not, then the advice to get your life sorted would be YE MUST BE BORN AGAIN! Hope that helps. |
