John, I have no doubt that you'll disagree with this, but your Pastor failed you. He shouldn't have stopped short by telling you that he'd prefer you attend where you're a member. He should have explained why, and also dug into why you would ever even consider choosing to attend a Roman Catholic Mass, while claiming to be born again.
