The Doctrine of sin

“ Outstanding Sermon! ”
This is a moving explanation of the doctrine of sin. In the modern world we have done away with the idea of sin and this is to our eternal detriment! Pastor Beers provides the biblical answer to what sin is, how God views sin, and how we should view sin! May the Lord Jesus bless your listening to this wonderful message and bring you to the realization that your sin has condemned you before a holy and just God, and only in Jesus Christ can you be made new!

No Trinity - No Salvation!
Rev David Silversides

“ Great Sermon! ”
God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost: each plays a role in the salvation of sinners. If God were not a trinity, as the various cults claim, then sinners could never be saved. Listen to this sermon to be well-instructed in this foundational Christian doctrine!

Sermon:
The Christian's conflict
Gavin Beers
1
comment
“ Great Sermon! ”
This is an excellent and edifying sermon from Romans chapter 7. The Apostle Paul provides the Christian an insight into the ongoing conflict between his desire to obey the Law of God and the presence of sin in his heart and life. This conflict involves more than a pang of conscience over sin; it is a mortal struggle between the Spirit of God dwelling in us, and the remnants of our corrupt, sinful nature. If you, as a Christian, are experiencing this conflict then take heart! It is a sign of spiritual life within you. It can be an intense, life-long struggle, one that you feel as if you are losing, but be encouraged! Final victory is assured!

Sermon:
Does God judge nations?
Rev David Silversides

“ Faithful Preaching! ”
Does God judge nations? Yes, He does. But, "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." (II Chronicles 7:14)

“ Great Sermon! ”
Forgiveness is a much neglected truth for Christians! We need to learn again that forgiveness begins with God forgiving our sins through Christ, which then enables us to forgive others. Our pride and wrong sense of self worth often warp our view of forgiveness and we need this gentle reminder of what it actually means to forgive.

“ Great Sermon! ”
What is the focal point of Christianity? Is it Christ? In this excellent sermon Pastor Beers brings the light of the Scripture to bear on the modern charismatic movement with its focus upon the Holy Spirit instead of upon Christ. He also shows us that the Spirit will not exalt man, but rather Christ! It is Christ's strength and sacrifice that saves you, not your own decision or works or strength; no, it is only Christ! Take heed Christian and ensure your focus is upon the Lilly of the Valley, the Bright and Morning Star, the King of Kings, Jesus Christ! Note: This recording opens with a bit of congregational Psalm singing!

Sermon:
The absolute rights of God over us
Rev David Silversides

“ Outstanding Sermon! ”
Do you worship the true and living God, or have you created an imaginary god in your mind? One need not bow before a graven image to be an idolator! We must love, worship, and submit to God as He really is, which is to say, as He is revealed to us in the Scripture. Even many professing Christians have erected an imaginary god in their hearts, and must repent of their idolatry and receive the true God as he really is! One of the greatest sermons we have ever heard!

Have you ever wondered why some believe the gospel, and others do not? Have you ever wondered why some people go to hell, if Christ died for all the sins of everyone? This sermon covers the historic origin of the Five Points of Calvinism, and provides the biblical foundation for each point in a clear, concise manner. Great preaching!

God's Glory And Our Good

“ Great Sermon! ”
"Give us day by day our daily bread." Luke 11:3 We all know the Lord's Prayer, but do we "know" it? This sermon by Pastor Silversides explores the depths of what is meant when we ask God to provide our daily bread. Are we content with the Lord's provision? Do we expend our strength in the Lord's service? Oh, that we would truly desire and ask for God to provide, and serve Him with all His provision for us!

“ Excellent Sermon! ”
A very powerful sermon, truly needed in our day! In this sermon text (I Kings 10:1-9), the Queen of Sheba coming to inquire of Solomon is an analogy of both the individual and of the gentile nations, seeking true Wisdom and finding it in Christ as represented in Solomon. My friends, seek wisdom and you shall find it in Christ Jesus! Seek truth, be not as Pilate and when the truth is standing in front of you ask, "What is truth?"

Sermon:
The weekly Sabbath a commandment for all
Rev David Silversides
1
comment
“ Outstanding Sermon! ”
Outstanding sermon in which the obligation of keeping the weekly sabbath day holy is demonstrated from the scriptures. The sabbath was given to man as a creation ordinance before sin entered the world, and was affirmed by Christ to be "made for man" (Mark 2:27), showing that the sabbath is for all men in all times, and not just for the Jews. If you love the Lord as your Savior, you will love the Sabbath Day!

“ Outstanding Sermon!! ”
Translating the Bible into the languages of the common people of Europe was an important part of the Protestant Reformation. That work continues today in the mission of the Trinitarian Bible Society as it works to bring faithful translations of the Scriptures to people all across the world. In this sermon, Dr.Allen tells about the work of the Trinitarian Bible Society today. He also tells the story of how Luther was converted to Christ, and calls on all to believe the Gospel that saved Luther's soul. This is a rousing sermon, and we heartily recommend it!

“ Do you desire God's will to be done? ”
Nearly every Christian has heard the words of the Lord's Prayer, but have we given much thought to what was taught to us by our Lord? In this sermon Pastor Silversides once again takes us to the heart of the matter and explains what is meant by the phrase "Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth." Make these words mean something and truly long to see God's will being worked out on earth!

Excellent overview of the life and doctrine of the great reformer, John Calvin. Calvin was uniquely gifted by God to systematize the work begun by Luther and others, and was also a man of immense compassion and humanity, contrary to popular belief. Be sure to listen to this biography!
