"Anyone who feels like a civilized and friendly discussion of this verse please feel free to email me."I would not mind having a civilized and friendly discussion of this verse. I am pretty much bored of the rabid, foaming at the mouth Calvinist who cares for what his Calvinist theologians state but ignore what the Scriptures clearly state. If you are sincerely a more serious inquirer, then I accept your invitation as a breath of fresh air. I would give you my email, but apparently, SA still has the script where they do not allow the mention of my name. Apparently, I pose a serious threat to Calvinist theology. I will email you with my email so that you can notify me of your first post. I do not check in into SA nearly as much as I use to. |

I am a firm believer in preaching. On that note, Paul stated that he persuadeth all men to be saved. It seems that too many Christians have forgotten this principle. In their preaching to the lost they so easily take no as an answer, almost with a sigh of relief. They are more interested in making the lost feel comfortable then convicted. I mean how many times have I gone back to follow up on supposed recent converts, only to find out that they had no idea of what they did. It seems to me that the word "persuade" carrys with it of not taking no for an answer. I speak not of forcing people to make a decision that is not sincere, neither am I talking of insulting people for not accepting the Gospel. I speak of pleading with people that they should be saved. I speak of making people understand what it means when they say that they do not have time right now, or that they respect all religions, or whatever no answer one receives. They should not walk away from the confrontation without their conscience being shaken of the gravity of the situation. If hell is real and heaven is glorious like we say it is, should not our proclamation accompany some biblical zeal? Oh that our soulwinning be done with divine authority! What say ye? |
