Good teaching oikos. Don't worry your comments like this are not wasted. Not everyone reading these comments are blasphemers.

Thanks for the smartalec response. When you get enough respect for God's word and are determined to stop twisting it to your own ends, then be sure to come back for a grown up discussion.

Dispy Dipping Dallas Theological Seminary would make such a claim. Maybe their graduates are ignorant of "their" faith but the Holy Spirit doesn't make ignorant believers. By definition believers know what they believe.

2 John 1:1-2 KJV
[1] The elder unto the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth; and not I only, but also all they that have known the truth; [2] For the truth's sake, which dwelleth in us, and shall be with us for ever.

Sorry to see Russia give up on that short list. As far as I'm concerned I wouldn't want that bunch either, but I thought we had a chance for Russia to take them off our hands. Politically they are a much better fit with them.

"RK is an unthinking scripture twisting Presby,. . . "

R. K. Borill writes,

As much theology that comes from your posts, this comment means so very much to me. Thank you so much for your consideration. This is indeed a blessing.

Matthew 5:11-12 KJV
[11] Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you , and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. [12] Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

1517,

Good points! We must come to grips with the question, What is the axiom of truth? "The Bible Alone Is The Word Of God".

You can be sure that the current US Czar is watching and learning from the developments there.

Observer,

If you think this is darkness then you are looking at this from the light coming through the crack in your roof.

Anyway, I have one question and a direct an honest answer would be appreciated. What was the purpose of your post to Dolores last night.... the post I quoted and first comment about?
My purpose was only to offer some advice; I meant no offense.

"For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body."
James 3:2

As I said, one should never ignore Islam: The Religion of Peace We in the West do have a problem with it, from [dis]honor killings and child molestation,

R. K. Borill responds,

I agree Jim, this country is self deluded with the Muslims. Also, thanks for the source.

1517 writes:
But, again, my point is we should be clear not to diminish the exhortation of Paul for the sake of cultural expediency. That is why we have the Joyce Meyers and other derelict women in the pulpit while their husbands sit in the pew. Look at the comments here, you would have thought RK spoke down to Delores' dignity AS A WOMEN instead of pointing to her OFFICE. Does that make any sense?

R. K. Borill responds,
Makes sense to me brother.

Lurker,

Most of the Pilgrims were Puritans who left England to escape the oppressive Church of England under King Charles. They fought for separation of church and state.

Lurker,

I'm not even going to respond to your fallacy. BTW, if it was the Puritans who gave us freedom from the tyranny of Rome. In addition, in proportion to our disdain for Puritan thought we have given ground to Roman domination in America.

If Steven Lee were to prohibit women from posting, he would be crucified by the liberal attorneys and laws of the feminist nation.

Isaiah 3:12 KJV
[12] As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.

Paul Montoya writes:
"set women free; from the bondage of such Barbaric remarks you made by taking scripture out of context."

R.K. Borill writes:

Mr. Montoya from the context I do not see where the Apostle is addressing a setting within the assembly as he does in 1 Cor. 14. In fact, since he supports his argument with the behavior of women since the fall, this suggests a common trait for women to rule over men in any setting. Nancy Pelosi, Hillary Clinton cases in point.

Delores writes:
Thanks for the post and wish I had all the answers, but I don't.

R. K. Borill responds:

That's an interesting comment. I wouldn't have known that from the volumes that you write. The follow advice may help you come to more answers,

1 Timothy 2:11-12 KJV
[11] Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. [12] But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

NRC writes:

Pity all us poor Pharisee's. Let's just let the wicked spew and vomit their filth concerning our GOD and just turn the other cheek and say "God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life."
What sanctimonious drivel

R. K. Borill responds:

This is good, and worth repeating. I'm going to take my nausea pills. Thanks NRC.
