Dorcas wrote: Pastor Ralph Ovadal addresses these issues with the Graham's on his radio ministry 'The Heart of the Matter'. He has done several broadcasts which can all be found here on SA. Thank you sister! As I'll listen I'll keep in mind that only God knows the thoughts and intentions of the heart! |

If only the church had taken a stance against adultery and fornication inside the church rather than attacking the sexual practices of people outside the church"But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of brother if he is guilty of sexual immorality or greed, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or swindler—not even to eat with such a one. For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Is it not those inside the church whom you are to judge? God judges those outside. 'Purge the evil person from among you.'" ~ 1 Corinthians 5:12-13 ESV ]]1 Corinthians 6:9-11 ESV "I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified." I'm tired of Christians focusing so heavily on the homosexuality of persons outside the church ~ is this the mandate from Christ to preach? Or is it not to 'proclaim Christ and Him crucified'? pennned wrote: SF, the question I have is, if God confuses the enemies of these saints (per Jessica's worthy prayer), will we wake up in a daze tomorrow? May we all behave worthy of God's calling and may God confuse our enemies who seek to destroy the lives and faith of God's people! "Let them be ashamed and confounded Who seek my life; Let them be turned back and confused Who desire my hurt." ~ Psalm 70:2 NKJV "Now as Samuel was offering up the burnt offering, the Philistines drew near to battle against Israel. But the Lord thundered with a loud thunder upon the Philistines that day, and so confused them that they were overcome before Israel." ~ 1 Samuel 7:10 NKJV |

Michael Hranek wrote: Have I ever shared with you the red pen principle? My pastor in Knoxville taught it to me. Read anything you want but read it prayerfully paying close attention to whether or not it lines up with Biblical Truth in the context of all of Scripture. Mark (as with a red pen) those things that you find that don't and putting down Scripture references why, mark those that are likewise clearly Biblical with references why. In this way you can be obedient to 'Despising not prophecying but examine everthing, holding fast to that which is good.' Remember don't give anybody a pass because they are popular. Scripture tells us of Peter, a genuine Apostle used by the Spirit to write 2 Books in the Bible, who nevertheless came under the influence of false teaching and needed the rebuke Paul gave him in Galatians. I picked up a book recently in which I didn't know had false teaching: I have been thinking of using this technique with this book and perhaps writing a book/paper about its heresy so others may read it and glean? On-the-other-hand, I have also thought about throwing the book into paper recycling — I have been praying to The Lord about which path to take. Thank you for sharing! |

"I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak,"~ Matthew 12:36 "whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen." ~ 1 Peter 4:11 "Remind them to be submissive to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work, to speak evil of no one, to avoid quarreling, to be gentle, and to show perfect courtesy toward all people. For we ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, led astray, slaves to various passions and pleasures, passing our days in malice and envy, hated by others and hating one another." ~ Titus 3:1-3 "Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person." ~ Colossians 4:6 English Standard Version (ESV) |

According to this article there have been, "19 comics in which Archie spread the Good News of the Gospel."]]'The 12 Craziest Moments From Archie’s Christian Comics' It was The Lord Jesus Christ who died for sinners and took the punishment which we deserved on the cross and then arose from the dead on the third day ~ sinners (which includes all of us) are justified through faith in Him. "But what does it say? 'The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart' (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." ~ Romans 10:8-9 NKJV "Then Peter said to them, 'Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.'" ~ Acts 2:38-40 NKJV |
