I am always amazed at how you guys get hung up on one text and go to town on it. John 3:16 is part of a whole conversation and begins with the word "For". It is organically connected to that which precedes it. Yet you geniuses forget all that and get hung up on the word Kosmos - to determine whether God wants to save His elect or whether He wants to save the whole world. Previously Jesus said (vs 3), "Unless one is born again he cannot SEE the kingdom of God", then (vs 5) he cannot ENTER. Later (vs 18) He says that he who does not believe "Is condemned already." Can you numskulls not understand that before anyhing else, God must enable you to SEE, by raising your dead corpses from sin through regeneration. If He wanted to save the whole world He would have to first regerate them. They are dead and under condemnation. You cannot bring yourself to life! You cannot give yourself sight! What foolishnes is this harping about the meaning of the word Kosmos? Unless God first regenerates you and justifies you and sanctifies you, you cannot even see His kingdom. So where does this "Give your heart to Jesus" heresy come from? You ain't got no heart to give! It is GOD who takes out your dead heart of stone and gives you a heart of flesh (Ez 36). Arminianism is blasphemy!
