Below are the Roman Catholic Counter-Reformation doctrine which embraces synergism and rejects the Reformation teaching of monergism as an anathema.

CANON IV. If any one shall affirm, that man’s freewill, moved and excited by God, does not, by consenting, cooperate with God, the mover and exciter, so as to prepare and dispose itself for the attainment of justification; if moreover, anyone shall say, that the human will cannot refuse complying, if it pleases, but that it is inactive, and merely passive; let such an one be accursed"!

CANON V.- If anyone shall affirm, that since the fall of Adam, man’s freewill is lost and extinguished; or, that it is a thing titular, yea a name, without a thing, and a fiction introduced by Satan into the Church; let such an one be accursed"!

Council of Trent CHAPTER V (Sixth Session)

It is furthermore declared that in adults the beginning of that justification must proceed from the predisposing grace of God through Jesus Christ, that is, from His vocation, whereby, without any merits on their part, they are called; that they who by sin had been cut off from God, may be disposed through His quickening and helping grace to convert themselves to their own justification by freely assenting to and cooperating with that grace; so that, while God touches the heart of man through the illumination of the Holy Ghost, man himself neither does absolutely nothing while receiving that inspiration, since he can also reject it, nor yet is he able by his own free will and without the grace of God to move himself to justice in His sight…

Since Yamil buried my posts I will repost them.

Michael Endicott,
Many Arminians (synergists) dialogue with the Roman Catholic Church, one of the biggest being Billy Graham, who believes like you that Christ died for everyone and that you are only born-again of the Holy Spirit after you have believed and repented. It makes a lot more sense for the Arminians (synergists) to dialogue with the Roman Catholic Church because they are quite similar in beliefs. (See Council of Trent)

This path is enormously popular today among many!!

"...but I do care what you say and how you influence people who are trying to learn and I oppose you when you make silly statements!"

Yamil "Billy Graham is shunned by most of orthodox Christianity, including fundamentalists."

Thats not the point, his doctrine is the same as yours!

Yamil "If you would read the Bible as much as you do from your divines, you probably would not be a Calvinist."

I wasn't quoting from calvinists but from the council of Trent, Roman Catholic doctrines, similar to your doctrines, you know arminian synergism.
