We prepare for the upcoming sacrament of the Lord's Supper and stir up our desire for the Lord's presence. We continue our exposition of the Song of Songs and observe how Christ and the Church declare their love one to another. We find this is due to Christ beautifying His Church. As we prepare for the Supper, we must behold how the Lord's work will not only justify us but sanctify us, such that He sees the end of His work in us to declare us fair and lovely. In this, He draws us to the Table to sit with the King, to stir up our graces in His presence. Preached from Song 1:9-17 on Sabbath PM 06/05/22.
