Listen to this! Our weakness shows up most in the place of prayer. We hardly know how to articulate what we need. But we have the comforting promise that the Spirit is interceding for us according to God's will. And if we pray according to God's will, we have the petitions that we asked. What an encouragement to pray!
Very helpful! This verse gives Christians the motivation to endure whatever suffering God's providence has decreed for them, humbly accepting it as from His good hand. I found it very helpful for what I am going through now. To God be the glory for leading me to this sermon,
Uplifting and refreshing! I highly recommend this refreshing look at the Lord's day. There sre so many holy activities to keep us busy that we won't miss our other activities. The secret to refrreshing and reviving our souls comes from a proper use of the day the Lord has given us as a "market day" for our souls.
Extremely encouraging We can easily get discouraged in our daily ministires, but this is just the reminder I needed that God will give us all the resources we need to carry out the work of proclaiming the finished work of Christ. Prayer is the God-ordained means that God uses to advance His kingdom for the glory of His name. Rather than be discouraged by our sin in neglecting prayer, let's be comforted by Christ's amazing invitation to ask whatever is in conformity to God's will so that the Father will be glorified!
Much needed sermon these days! A much needed reminder to worship the Lord as he directs us. There is blessing for our children in our obedience to this second command...what a thought!
Practical advice on fasting Deals with appropriate times to fast and mentions examples from the Bible. It is about the heart seeking God. Too few Christians fast these days.
Powerful!! This is an extremely powerful treatment of family relationships and explains how God builds His kingdom through wives and husbands who obey God's directives. It takes my breath away every time I listen to it. I wish all wives would listen to this and ask God for the grace to obey His word.

This always bothers me because I wonder if I have sinned but am not aware of it at times. Anyway, sorry for the incessant posting frenzy...ha-ha.
The equation is Grace upon Grace. Mercy upon Mercy.
Your state of mind is tragic. Its called spiritual abuse Chris. Your worry over past sins not confessed is a tragedy. You are limiting mercy and grace. Clearly you don't understand it. Listen to some of the sermons on this site concerning mercy, grace, forgiveness if you really want to learn. For some reason you just come here to listen to these guys.
I don't believe any of you here. You all support each others abuse of others. Your churches must be awful.
Why would anyone believe any of you once they see through you?
John UK wrote: All of a sudden? Johnny Yurich has been posting here for ten years to my knowledge. Others may have interacted with him for a lot longer. Ask Jim. Maybe you would like to introduce yourself, Grace, and tell me your position on justification. This is the one key issue when we are considering eternal life or eternal death.
John Y - make yourself known to those around you - in your parish.
Christians don't hide their true beliefs from those around them.
But sometimes I don't think you are a Catholic John Y.
How do you know John Y John UK? It seems a rather odd thing to confide all of a sudden? If you know him then are you two just playing a funny game on a Christian website? Or are you JY and JUK?
There are only so many possibilities John's.
People can be addicted to religion just like people can be addicted to drugs or drink or food. People can be addicted to posting on forums.
Under know circumstances make yourself KNOWN to people on the internet John. Make yourself known to people who can see you and put in a context.
